No smokes... drive to the store... lighter out of fluid... drive to the store... where can I squash this ....... dropped smoke in car--there's a smoldering ember somewhere--swerve a bunch on the road... burn a finger... resume smoking... ashtray's full =P... pull over to empty ashtray... time for a smoke break... ride the elevator 5 floors down, head out the front door, puff in the freakin cold/rain/oooo nice day/snow/etc...

I think it more than evens out and I spend about an hour on the weekend cleaning all of my atty's and gear :D

Simply being able to vape at my desk or in my home saves a TON of time and frustration.

Couldn't have said it better myself.

E-cigs can be rather idiosyncratic - but at this point, I'm enjoying the new hobby.

See that's the thing. If you like it as a hobby, then cool, have fun with it. But I never thought of smoking as a hobby and I don't want vaping to be either. That takes the enjoyment out of it for me.

btw, not ripping on anyone who likes to spend their time modding, dripping and tinkering. If that's your thing then go for it. But I think for a larger number of people to take to vaping it needs to be made more hassle free. Hopefully in the future it will be, and who knows, someone who likes to tinker will probably figure it out.

I've been vaping for few months now with the same 2 batteries and same atty! It surprises me that people keep talking bout bad batteries and atty's breaking. I tried a 901 direct from china and was disappointed. Low battery life and no throat his plus juice in my mouth! Same as the SE e cig. Spend a little more $ and buy from england and u dont have all the hassle of recharging and stuff breaking. Maybe i'm just lucky with mine but this far in life i doubt it:)

After 7 months of vaping all the fun has gone out of new products, new flavors and on and on. I just can't believe that anyone gets 100% constant throat hit or a lot of vapor. I am continuous using new atomizers as older ones don't seem to produce as good. I rarely have one go bad. They just quit working as good.

I swear if it was not for the health benefits I would just quit. I dont' want to sound discouraging to new vapers. I do after all feel 100% better and would never go back to smoking analogs.

I am just sick of fooling with all of this.

Id rather deal with the frustrations of Vaping than the frustrations of carrying an air tank around or the frustrations of chemotherapy or the frustrations of dying.

Amen Pyrate...

Martha1014,

As for throat hit, that is directly related to the amount of nic you have in your juice..

Vapor? Google 'High Voltage E-Liquid'

Mix the two together and Voilà!

I use 36 and have never even tried anything lower. I have some 45 premixed flavors I use sometimes. I don't think I should go any higher although I have numerous bottles of 54 and 60. I just ordered 100 mg. and a waiting on this. Of course I plan on mixing to a lower mg.

That is pretty high amount of nic, someone on the forums here uses 36mg and Snus on the side, says it keeps him sane lol..

There is a thread here titled 'Are we getting it or are we not' will try to find it if I can.. It states the amount of nic on the bottle is Not what we ingest/vape, although not sure if going above the 36 is safe regardless..

Hope this helps!!

Edit: Found it .. http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/nicotine/44958-so-we-getting-we-not-nicotine.html

I used to smoke rollies. I miss my lovely tobacco sometimes, but I've been trying to just stay on the vape for now. Compared to rollies though, it's really not that much less convenient, I'd even say it's allot more. I use the blue foam plug mod on my m401. I clean the atomizer maybe every three cart fills, way often I know, but it hasn't bit me in the .... yet. I get consistent vape till the thing is almost totally dry, then I can pick up a little bit of a funny taste for a few vapes before it's bone dry. Or the battery dies.

I think part of it for me is, smoking rollies, they kicked like a mule. When I came back from Tahiti, I bought a carton of marlboro reds because they were so cheap. they did almost nothing for me, I went from maybe 5-10 smokes a day to 20 in no time. But with the roll your owns, they were so strong, I had to smoke allot less, so I vape allot less. Last time I got drunk I did find myself really pacifiering it and burned almost a whole cart in about 7 hours. But the batter hung in there no problem.

Hello..... I had the same problem...... I think most of us do...... Had a 510 and liked it, but hated the hassles you described...... Did research on ECF..... Moved up to a mod, the Silver Bullet..... No more battery problem...... Still hated the constant refilling...... 3.7 V seemed too weak and 6.0 V seemed too harsh...... Went to GG and felt my nitch...... Got the AFS that solved the constant refilling problem...... Someone told me about the 5.0 Volt and I got my GLV 5.0 Volt and am extremely happy......
At home, I vape my GLV 5.0 and have to refill and on the road I use my GG with my AFS...... I change batteries usually about every 2 days..... Problems solved...... Thank you ECF.......

The time and effort is unreal. I know at different time the ecig stops producing as well. You continue to look for the everlasting vapor and throat hit. You plug, unplug batteries, cleaning atomizers, changing atomizers, dying atomiers, flooding atomizers trying to continue to get that throat hit and vapor. You continuously mix liquids trying to get that extra special blend. We are afraid the FDA will stop us from obtaining our ecigs. We buy, buy, buy not necessarily to stock up but because we are trying to find that extra special ecig that will produce better and longer. Some vapers can control their spending and is actually costing them less to vape but a majority of us haven' reached that point and don't know if we ever will.

It seems like at some point in the day or night my ecigs just completely fail to work properly. I go crazy trying everything I have learned and read to get them to work better. Then all of a sudden they seem to be working again. This is a real mystery.

Of course we all feel this is all worth it because our health has improved. Some actually enjoy this new habit loving to discuss and read on the forum and share our experience with others.

So even though there is a lot of frustration in vaping overall it is much better for us in the long run. I just wish a better model would be invented and in time I'm sure it will just as eveything else improves.

All I can say is KR808 D1.

I've saved a .... load of money by vaping, pretty much what my banner says minus a rough $350 from that, and that's what I've saved since I started. I use a 510 found a liquid I like from a supplier who has great deals. I make 30ml last about a month so I don't go through juice like crazy. I do have a bunch of flavors that I've had for quite a while, I don't do flavors that often just the one tobacco flavor that I like a lot. Flavors don't satisfy my smoking needs so thats why I use just the tobacco flavor. I like the other flavors for a random taste here and there. The only thing I want to do from here is make a mod where I don't need to change the batteries 3 or 4 times a day, not a big deal but I vape until the led blinks and we all know how weak the hits are at that low of a battery. I clean my attys once sometimes twice a week, and I use pretty much only one all the time, unless I switch flavors.

My biggest problem is trying to refill on a road trip while driving, it's not easy and it's not safe but sometimes it needs to be done. I hate the filling in carts no matter what mod I've tried with my 510 carts I don't seem to get any more out of it than I do when I just drip 3 or so drops into my atty.

For refilling I use the GG AFS..... It is a drum that holds over 3ml of fluid and fits on a 901 atty....... I can go all day without refilling...... No E-Dobbit or spring cart is going to do that......
The AFS is made by GG for the GG 901 atty..... But I also use it on my GLV 5.0 volt with 901 atty..... There is currently nothing on the market as good as the GG AFS on the market for refilling...... Imagine, filling once a day, changing batteries every other day..... No headaches....... Pure vaping heaven....... I got the GG Transformer that vapes at 3.7 or 6.0 and it is great...... And a GLV 5.0 V with the AFS...... Absolutely fantastic......... It just can't be beat......

Most of my frustration disappeared when I started to use the blue foam plug cartridge mod. My battery frustrations should end as soon as the mailman puts my Protege into my mailbox, today hopefully!

You are the second or third one that has talked about the blue foam plug. We definately need to try that. We want to avoid the burnt taste. If anyone has any pictures or videos of how to use the foam in a M702 that would be the best! Or even how it fits in any e cig and we mod it for ours. We have M702 and DSE901. Use them both at different times.:)
