Frustations of vaping

Although my first PV has yet to come in the mail (Tomorrow hopefully!), I can understand how the upkeep could be frustrating at times. I smoke rollies, simply because the prices for packs in NYC are HORRIBLE(about $10.50 a pack). Sometimes I just wanna sit back and smoke a cigarette, but I gotta roll it first. Its especially bad when I run out of cigarettes and am reaaaally craving one. I gotta go to the store, buy the tobacco, come back home, roll a few cigarettes, and THEN I get to enjoy one. I'm sure in the beginning, filling my carts, cleaning atty's, and trying new juices will be new and exciting, just like when I started rolling my own cigarettes. However, I'm prepared for the fact that eventually, all fun must come to an end, and it will start to become tedious work. Of course, I type this while rolling the rest of my tobacco. Have a stack of about 15 now, hoping my 510 comes in before I end up smoking all of them :)

get a 510 manual mega, an atty and a cart, or a mega kit. $35-60 ... throw away the factory filler, stick in a piece of blue foam. $8 lifetime supply, get 30ml of 36mg liquid. Your good for a month.
You can buy a kit a month and still vape for less than half the price of analogs.
$100 can get you an entire Manual Mega Kit and enough liquid for a month.

This is great - pictures and everything - where do I buy that Marineland blue foam? Anyone?

If you live in a bigger(ish) city, you can check out Petsmart.

Smaller, I would call around your local pet shops, definitely call first or you might spend all day running around town (made this mistake looking for Fluval)

Or you can be lazy like me and order it off the internetz...

Found it at PetSmart. We tried it and it really made a difference, no burnt taste. The hard part is cutting it small enough for the 702 carts. The 901 carts are easier for sure. Still feel like a mad scientist with all this stuff!:D

ok, so my luck bites me again. after raving about the Janty STICK V2, and not having many inconveniences...i was out of town and the microchip (which is programmed to do a bunch of things) started acting up. it started on thursday night. i didn't have an extra atty on me because Janty had been out of them and they owed me one for a warranty. so, i was at the bar on sunday, and unscrewed the atty (the V2 was still having all sorts of programming problems at that time) and i dropped it about 4 feet to the tile floor. well, that killed the atty. i had to make the 5 and a half hour drive home with 2 batteries, not recently charged for my mini-fogger, and my POS e-cig.com cartomizer set up. it was the only one at that point that i could charge in the car. luckily i made it home without having to buy analogs. it's been well over 4 months now. the best part of the story...when i got home, the atomizer that Janty owed me was in my mailbox!!!! bad luck turns to good just like that. the stick was toast though. i got it to work after blasting it with the hairdryer for about an hour. for some reason that gets the chips to work right.

just thought i would share my funny story after praising the STICK!

can anyone recommend a device that uses the same cartridge as the STICK? i would like 3rd stringer better than the cartomizers from e-cig.com. they suck, in my opinion. and e-puffer.com is the worst.

thanks to anyone that can give me a good device for my back up. the mini fogger is great, it just has TINY carts, and i can't deal with that.

The time and effort is unreal. I know at different time the ecig stops producing as well. You continue to look for the everlasting vapor and throat hit. You plug, unplug batteries, cleaning atomizers, changing atomizers, dying atomiers, flooding atomizers trying to continue to get that throat hit and vapor. You continuously mix liquids trying to get that extra special blend. We are afraid the FDA will stop us from obtaining our ecigs. We buy, buy, buy not necessarily to stock up but because we are trying to find that extra special ecig that will produce better and longer. Some vapers can control their spending and is actually costing them less to vape but a majority of us haven' reached that point and don't know if we ever will.

It seems like at some point in the day or night my ecigs just completely fail to work properly. I go crazy trying everything I have learned and read to get them to work better. Then all of a sudden they seem to be working again. This is a real mystery.

Of course we all feel this is all worth it because our health has improved. Some actually enjoy this new habit loving to discuss and read on the forum and share our experience with others.

So even though there is a lot of frustration in vaping overall it is much better for us in the long run. I just wish a better model would be invented and in time I'm sure it will just as eveything else improves.

I think its all in your head dude, just my opinion though... I'm constantly searching for a choking feeling only to go back to cigarettes and realize hey these don't hurt my lungs like the vaporizer does

something I actually started doing was sucking this xxxx straight to the lungs ignoring mouth inhaling seems to be working at the moment.

That's what I do.

I think I'm also lucky in that I'm still on my first e-cig, the KR808. I LIKE the fact that I can just throw the empty carto out and pop on a new one. I have quite a few juices, but 4-6 drops will last me almost an entire work night. I'm way too lazy (and busy with a husband, 5 kids, 2 kittens and a full time job) to mess with the 3 piece kits.

Martha, what are you vaping on?

Abhowe - Check out the Auto Drip Mod, uses a spring and a little bit of poly-fil, and your set.
Just like dripping without all the hassle. Or you can check out an E-Dobit depending on which model atty your using..

Edit: Found the link for ADM - http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/experiments-equipment/46125-i-call-adp-mod-auto-drip-mod.html

I have 510s and a Little Chuck. The chuck is a little less time consuming but uses a lot more liquid. Even on the chuck I still don't get a constant throat hit.
