In fact, as a last note, its about time they realized that we don't need their dry leaves that kill us any more, they have made enough money, killed enough people, we don't need their overpriced inhalers and gum and patches to get off them either, this is the age of technology, this is the age of the Vapsters. Take that Bembridge Scholars.

Time for vape after that outburst.

Good move. Maybe you're not as crazy as I thought.
vape on!

Oh don't get me wrong @motordude I'm probably even crazier than you think, but I do have my moments LOL.

@Shipwreck , your def not on your own here, I have done it too, no need to feel ashamed, it's a very strong addiction, I used to put mine in a rolling papers with a rolling tip, finger tips black from the ash, it was nice of you to share that with us though. This is what makes me so mad about these taxes and bans, they are trying to taken away the very thing that has stopped us smoking.

Thanks very much @Rixsta and yeah... the .... fingers, as I called them. I know how you feel. While I was doing my research over the year before I started vaping I kept seeing all the negative stuff and getting more and more upset about it. It disgusts me that people can actually sleep at night while making profits off something that is killing people and fight to ban or restrict something that will help them.
On Coast 2 Coast with 2 Canucks Friday night Ray Yeates mentioned something that I had already known due to research I had done. I helped organize a benefit concert for The James Fund in May 2014. The James Fund raises awareness and funds for research into neuroblastoma, a deadly children's cancer. Most of the events I produce or help organize are all for charities or causes, cancer being one of my main causes. During my work on the James Fund event I was researching the fund and neuroblastoma in general, which lead me into other areas of cancer research.
A LOT of that research disgusted me!! I discovered that the Canadian Cancer Society's funds go to two main areas; 1, paychecks to the ridiculously paid board members, and 2, to big pharmaceutical companies who produce drugs that only treat symptoms and rake in huge profits and do actually nothing to find cures. The money they spend on research that is actually trying to find cures is in the very very low percentages.... I'm talking in the decimals of percentages. I also discovered that both the Canadian Cancer Society and Heart and Stroke Foundation receive major funding from big tobacco and drug companies.
As if that wasn't disgusting enough... I also discovered that not only does the CCS under fund research for cures, they actually DISCOURAGE IT!!! Several times they tried to shut down the James Fund. However... When the James Fund began making huge strides in their search for cures and actually began lowering the mortality rates of children with neuroblastoma and prolonging these children's lives the CCS all of a sudden wanted to take credit for it. Prior to these discoveries I had done a number of charity events for our local branch of the CCS. During the time I was working on the James Fund event, and after my discoveries, I was contacted by our local CCS branch to do an event. I informed them that I would not be doing the event and that I had in fact removed them from my list of causes to do charity events for. When asked why I asked some very pointed questions regarding where their money goes. When she was finished giving me all the glowing crap about all the great drugs they have funded I asked how much they spend on research for actual cures. She had no clue, so I gave her the numbers I received from the CCS headquarters and I told her that is exactly why I removed them from my list of charities to support.
If the mass public knew the truth about these organisations and where the money goes and who backs them I would wager a bet that their public donations would take an extreme nose dive. But not everyone will do the very simple and quick research it takes to get this information.

Sorry for the rant... LOL

I like your point and vape education is great but I think the statistical chances of someone in that situation to end up successfully vaping might be low. You can teach someone to fish or give them one but if it costs much money to fish then they might not ever end up catching a fish. Call me a crazy conservative but I would be more inclined to buy someone a burger which I have actually done with more than a few homeless people. You called me out so I will turn a leaf. I have a bunch of ego batteries with those awesome kanger pro mini3 tanks. I am going to give one setup with a few bottles of high nic juice to one of the unfortunately (for them) many homeless people in our area and spend some time with asking questions and training to make sure they might give it a try. I will promise to check up on them in a week and if they dig it and still have it, I will then gift them some more juice. I will update after my work is done. Im out of town this week but will be sure to update in 2 weeks. Thanks, I know this is only one try but maybe this might turn me into a vapangelist.

Wow!!! That is so awesome @lovemytank !! Looking forward to your updates. I like that term.. Vapeangelist... LOL... Wait... Maybe not, after all the evangelisdt scandals out there... LMAO

I applaud you for making the effort, I know the challenges you face I am a registered nurse currently working with mental health patients as you know tobacco addiction is very high in the mental health population, here in Canada many of our homeless have some form of mental health issues the inpatient psych facilities downsized about fifteen twenty years ago leaving many the streets or the county lock ups as their homes vaping is a learning curve but it is also cheaper very best of luck to you and bless your heart for making the effort

I used to teach diversion classes in a juvenile detention facility focusing on drugs, alcohol and tobacco and I remember a study that was so interesting. I need to find the research but the basics was a tank of rats where dosed with different drugs. Each rat was basically habitually dosed with (I was scolded by an ecf veteran for naming these drugs even though as informative as this reply is I will use color descriptions) the dry white powder drug, the green smelly plant, the other more clear powder inhalant, the crazy stuff people inject and nicotine. Then once properly addicted these rats went cold turkey and the one addicted to nicotine had the worst withdraws as far as levels of aggressiveness.
