Frustrated with 3.7 volts - need advice on HV options

I'm actually not such a new user (started vaping more than a year ago) but I'm getting increasingly frustrated with the quality of my vaping experience. I'll outline my experiences with mods briefly

Screwdriver with 901 - never got amazing vapour with this one, but it was ok, I suppose. Don't use it now mainly because button breaks easily.

Zimoshi Lightvaper with901 - loved this one. Best vaping experience I've had. Used 18650 battery. It's broken now and don't know how to fix it.

Copper with RN4081 - liked this one quite a bit, but not ergonomics of it. Blows atomizers relatively fast at 6V.

When I first started vaping I used a BE112 with passthrough and liked that a lot as well.

But here is what I use now:

BB with 501 - use a 14500 battery. Vapor is decent but very little throat hit.

Adaptever with 501 - use 1 CR123A battery. Slightly better than GG but not much. Inadequate throat hit.

My problem is that I've used two CR2s in the BB, but the vapor is almost uncomfortably warm and wet. So I figure 5V might be best.

I'm looking at a two different options:

Either a GLV or Prodigy, or a Silver Bullet (using 18650 battery, which seemed like the best one yet).

Any ideas on what I should choose?

You could dip your toe in the water and get a 5v PT to see if 5v vaping is for you, without spending $s. Thats what I did (mine is a 510 setup) and I like it.
FYI I got my 5v PT from madvapes - got the USB/AC wall plug off them as well. They also sell adapters so you can use 901 carts with it or others, if you prefer those over the 510s.

I actually have a passthrough (a standard one from Heaven's Gifts). Don't notice much difference though. I thought those were 5Vs?

I Would suggest the same. PT to see how you like 5v.

GLV is nice. 5v is best IMO..

Try some LR 510s on 3.7 first and see there is a big difference..

If your PT has an inline battery then its a 3.7v one.
Most standard ones are 3.7 unless stated otherwise.

A GGTS w/901 HV atty and Super-T stainless contoured T-Tip set up w/2 Tenergy RCR123As at 6 volts is my workhorse PV. Dude it will do the job and is fully mechanical w/a locking switch..You can't beat it. For 3.7 a Precise w/510 atty and a Super-T Shorty aluminum tip. It gave adequate vapor. I removed the bridge from the 510 atty and now it's pretty damn impressive..It runs a single Trustfire 10440 and doesn't last very long..I've got 18650s for the GGTS but don't like the way it sets up w/a 510 atty. Much better w/a 901 IMO..Gonna get a GGTSS to hold 2 10440s when they get in stock..I much prefer the switch of the GG line.It's easy to trigger and it locks, I use the lock all the time when carrying...My GGTS has kicked the analogs to the curb and my Precise is a true work of art..Both are failsafe minus the atty...IMO Super-T and IMEO's GG line are the best PVs on the market....

Well raise my rent...I always thought they were 5 v. I was wondering why people paid so much for the puremsoker passthroughs.

I finally settled on a super 6. You can vape either 3.7, 6.0 or 7.4 volts by just changing the batteries. I find I like 6.0 but am having trouble with atomizers. If you use regular 510 they don't seem to last very long. I ordered some HV atomizers but haven't had much luck with them either.

I have some more HV atomizers coming and hopefully will have better luck with them. Some people say 3.7 volt with a LR atomizer is great.

Hmm.. as a matter of interest did you ever run the bridge-less atty at 6V? I tried that and the vapor was too warm and felt "wet" (not sure if thats the best way to describe it).

Try the LR 510s. You wont be sorry you did at 3.7 and get a drip tip too..

I haven't tried a low resistance 510 atty at this point...I would strongly suggest pulling the wick and bridge from a regular 510 atty..It greatly improves vapor and TH with a warmer vape as well. I've pulled one and have @ 2 weeks on it now. This of course only works for dripping only but is there any other way? Fumbling w/carts and constant refilling is a major PITA, IMO..If you want to pull a wick or bridge get yourself a pair of hemostats as they make it a bang bang job....
