Long time reader, newbie poster, I am planning an upgrade spree and would appreciate some advice. My vaping experience thus far has been limited to my Intellicig EVO Black that I have been using since October of last year, it's good but I knew when I decided to buy it that I would be trading some vapor production for the small/cute factor. So now I am ready to step up to higher voltage vaping.
Right now I am tenatively planning on buying both the precise and the super six, originally I came across the super six and thought it would be a great way to try 3.7v and 6v by only buying one high quality device, but then I saw the precise and it looks like something classy enough to use in public, the first 3.7 device I've seen that has accomplished that.

Questions regarding the Super 6:

1. I've been interested in trying the GreenCig cartomizers, my understanding is that these are the same threading as the 901 so if I order the Super6 with the 901 adaptor these will be compatible?

2. Is the adjustable draw that is only available with the 801 Super6 better than using a 901 cartomizer? To clairify does the adjustable draw option make it more worthwhile for my to get 801 attys instead? If so BE112 vs. regular 801?

3. Many posters have stated that the 501 attys tend to burn out quickly running at 6v, so it is my understanding that there is no benefit to using 501 attys if using a 6v battery configuration, is this correct?

Questions regarding the Precise:

4. I read on this forum that the adaptor for non-501 attys adds to the size or is less visually appealing on the precise, so are 501 attys the best to buy for use with the precise?

5. If so are the 501 attys from ruyan direct fine to use or are there benefits to going with another manufacturer I.e Joyce ect.?

Thank you for your help in giving me advice so I can purchase the right accessories to make my first foray into higher voltage vaping a happy one!!

questions:
#1 yes

#2 yes it works great to allow adjustable air flow. there are different 801 atties and each have a different air flow. You can also adjust the air flow to your liking.

#3 for 6vs dont use regular 510 atties from what hear, but you can use HV 510 (High Voltage) atties to help with the burn out. you can get these at www.Ikenvape.com or some other places.

#4 510 atties look great on the Precise and S6, you can also buy stainless 510 atties at www.Puresmoker.com and www.electronicstix.com to add an all metal look (also stainless T-tips make it look very nice plus the t-tips are great for dripping).

#5 yes I think any 510 attie will work with the Precise or S6.

i hope this helps....:)

Thank you for taking the time to reply to me, if you had to choose either regular 901 attys or 808 carts or 801 adjustable draw which would you choose initially? I probably will try them all eventually, I just want to buy a good configuration the first time around, I'm still a student once I'm working this won't be an issue, i just want to throw that out there to justify why I am kinda price conscious *smile* though I still believe in doing it right the first time hence the super T series.

Heh, actually I should simplify that into: what atty is best for a newbie to 6v to try out the super 6?

It sounds like for the precise I should order these atomizersTitanium atomizer for Joye510 mini e-cig
Thank you again, I've read all these posts but still haven't found anything near a definitive answer, maybe because there is none? If I have to I can always work more to just buy all the adapters I suppose?

honestly I use my S6 and Precise with a 510 mostly... I enjoy my 510... I am also a dripper so I take out the wicking (the metal mesh and metal stem that forms the mesh) in the attie. there is a video on how to do that.

You have to becareful to not rip the wires out with the wicking. But it makes a huge difference in taste and help reduce the burnt taste. Also it easier to drain or blow out the attie. The wicking in the 510 is used for those who still use carts.... But do not do this if you use High Voltage. :)

The 801 is also great for taste and HV from what I hear.

Welcome ID! Grimmer pretty well covered it. I suspect you'd prefer to just go with 510's on either the Precise or Super6 just for ease of use, plus alot of people really like the 510. As far as brand, it's all really user preference and most any 510 atomizer will fit both models. Hope that helps!

The 510 is very nice at 3.7 volts, but I found it too harsh at 6.0 volts. I really love the 901 at 6.0 volts. It has high enough resistance not to overheat as much, but low enough to get that strong throat hit and massive vapor. If you go with a HV atomizer the difference isn't as much, as they all seem to have about the same resistance in the HV variety.

I don't have a huge amount of experience with these atomizers, but I know I love the 901 at 6 volts on my Super Six. I've found the 901 to produce good vapor, good taste, and good throat hit. It's been very reliable and never gives me problems.

I'm not super experienced with different atomizers, I've tried RN4081, 510, and 901. Out of those I choose the 901 for HV vaping.

Hope this info help and isn't just confusing.

David

Fair waring, I started on a black Evo and moved into 510's. I hated the taste of 510's at first, very metal-y, some of this was due to the break in period and also to that fact that it burns hotter than a 410 (evo) which can partially cancel out or change some flavor. It takes a little adjustment, after a few days I was totally gitty over the 510 and can't go back to the 401 now. The 801 is a nice vape too, not as hot as the 510 and more comparable to an Evo in terms of flavor, only it lasts a lot longer between drips, cart top-offs etc, because it's much larger. I put the 801 on my Precise and think it looks kind of funny, cool in a way but not as nice looking as the 510.

Thank you for all the help, I ordered a precise (brass) on 4/8 I'm going to use it with 510 attys. I ordered 5x regular joye 510 attys and 5x low resistance attys. (As well as some juice samples and a bunch of batteries)

Next paycheck I'm going to order a super six, in stainless, I'll probably get 901 attys first and try others later, since I read the adjustable draw feature is being discontinued and and a lot of people have had good experiences with their 901's on HV and it sounds like a lot of people are happy no matter which model atty they use so I'll just pick one and look toward getting them all eventually to try :)

after a few days I was totally gitty over the 510
Thanks for the advice, I'll pick up a 510 battery and try it out since I already have a bunch of 510 attys on the way.

Anyone know what the approx wait time is on the precise in brass? looking at the thread devoted to who rec'd theirs it looked like 4-6 weeks?

Thanks again everyone :)

I was referring strictly to the atty's, not the batteries. The only thing I do with those miserable 510 batteries is rip them apart to get the connector out for mods. They don't even last half as long as an Evo battery, I got maybe 30 minutes of heavy vaping.

The Precises were on pre-order for months before they came into stock, that's why people were waiting 4 to 6 weeks. I don't think you'll have to wait that long at all.

let met tell ya i put ice on it for 10 hours straight in 10 mins intervals. It made a huge difference with my swelling compared to last time.....on a scale from one to 10 and to compare pain right now with 3 wisdom teeth pulled its a 2 maybe a slight 3.... 6 years ago with that 1 wisdom tooth pulled a 13..... And Im only taking 600 mg Ibuprofen every 6 hours The guy who pulled them out was damn good... and the price i paid for it wasn't bad either. Plus this time I made sure I followed the directions to the T. I only drank protein shakes the first 24 hours and no warm liquids or food in the mouth for 24 hours...
