I've been using a DSE901 for about 2 wks and I'm ready to pull my hair out. I'm so jealous of all the vapor that the youtube folks get out of their ecigs. I've tried the polyfill, blue foam and tea bags and get virtually no vapor at all. I've experimented with the amount of fill, amount of juice and still can't get that wonderful cloud of vapor that I see on youtube. My batteries are fully charged and still nothing to speak of. All I get are sore cheeks and a metallic taste in my mouth. What am I doing wrong?

A lot of vapor production depends on the liquid you are using. Have you tried using a 50/50 PropolyneGlycol/VegetableGlycerine blend or 100% VG liquid? Those typically produce more vapor than 100% PG.
Yeah its a juice question - what juice are you using and what % PG is it?
I use typically 80/20 PG/VG mix or 70/30 and get good clouds. The higher the VG the more vapor (some say its smoother too but I havent found that)

Since I'm so new at this, I don't have a clue about the mix of the juice. I've been using juice from diyflavorshack. I read good reviews about the juice and if they're the problem, I'm very disappointed.
Try to jump start your atomizer by dripping 2 small drops of liquid directly onto the mesh in the atomizer.
Take a 5-7 second slow easy draw. Your cheeks should not be working so hard.

Be careful not to flood it-that will ruin the battery. Try cleaning the contacts with a
q-tip, dampened with alcohol. Dip the q-tip in the alcohol squeeze any excess from the q-tip and clean the atomizer threads and the battery threads. Dry them thoroughly and take your time. You could be trying too hard.

You can get another atty and give it a try with that. I have not owned a 901, but I did have a DSE 905 and it came with a 901 atty. I never liked it much because the vapor production was pretty weak. I got a 510 adapter for it and put a 510 atty on it and it was great.
optsmk, that is going to be one of the things I'll suggest if we can't get this thing to fire up.

I know this is a little agitating at first, but once you get it up and running it will get easier. One of the things you can do is to use a toothpick and insert it into the cartridge beside the filler, when filling the cart with liquid the extra airspace made by the toothpick will allow the filler to absorb the juice more thoroughly. When the filler looks a little like a slushy/icee on top remove the toothpick. If any juice is floating on top, dab it with a napkin to remove excess. If not you you are good to go. Try it again now. A small puff first, 2-3 seconds followed with a longer puff the second time.

I cleaned the threads with the alcohol and I just got a toothpick to try your trick with the filler. I'll be right back. I need 2 hands to do this...lol
