Frustration filling HCigar Kayfun 3.1

I've done a search in here and ordered a couple bottle tips and a needle tip bottle that were recommended in some posts with no luck. There were also a few links to items on sites and ebay that were no longer available so no joy there. Every time I try and fill my hcigar kayfun the liquid dribbles around the tip I'm using and gets all over the place. What are you hcigar Kayfun users using to fill yours. I know I can do a top fill but I want to find a nipple/needle tip to fill on the go. Please provide links if you have them.

I use a blunt nose 18g needle tip on a syringe. I get mine via The Vapor Chef. His juice is also top notch. It's consistently the best line I've tried. I haven't had anything less than very good, and some that are transcendent. Anyways . . .

The key to using the hole fill hole on the Hcigar Kayfun 3.1 is to turn the unit upside down when you fill it. When you stick the needle in that fill port you're breaking the vacuum seal. Holding it upside down makes sure there is no liquid to enter the air flow hole and start a siphon. Holding your finger over the hole allows pressure to keep from flowing outward from the chamber.

1) Place finger over air flow hole.
2) Turn unit upside down while holding your finger over the air flow hole.
3) Stick your needle in to the fill port until you feel the spring move.
4) Unleash your juice in to the tank.
5) Turn back over.
6) Remove FInger from air flow hole.
7) Vape on.

This break down makes it seem much more tedious than it really is. It should take all of about 15 seconds or less. The short of it:

Cover the hole, turn it over, fill it up, turn it right, uncover hole.

Hey, thanks for the instructions and link. I have an 18ga blunt tip 3ml syringe that I use for measuring my DIY flavors. Gave it a try using your directions and I still get liquid backing out the fill hole while filling the kayfun. Tried requisitioning the needle several times but still getting the dribble as I fill. I know a 14ga is too big for the fill port, do you think a 16ga might do the trick?

I've never had any success filling my HC 3.1 clone using the fill hole.

I also get e-liquid leaking from the fill hole when I do a top fill, unless i'm careful to leave plenty of room at the top, i.e. I don't go much past the top of the clear plastic tank section. Leaking seems to be a fact of life for this device, at least with mine.

Also, your coil build can have an impact. If the cotton (or whatever wicking material you use) contact the top of the e-liquid groove properly, there will be leakage out of the air hole.

I haven't had that problem. I'm wondering if the ball that seal the fill hole is stuck in the open position. I read about that a week or so ago, and there is a simple fix, though I can't remember where I read it and can't find it in my history.

Is the dribble happening throughout the fill? Or only at the end? Does it continue to leak after you've filled the hole and removed the needle? Are you filling the tank at all? Not getting that seal all the way open is easy to do which would absolutely cause it to leak.

I had only one of my many Hcigar Kayfuns leak, and that was only once when I realized that in order to use the fill port you need to turn it upside down while covering the hole. I just tried to fill it with it facing right side up without covering the hole and it started to leak near immediately from the air flow hole. I emptied it, rewicked it (it needed rewicking anyways), then filled it with the unit upside down covering air hole. Never another leak after that single one for any reason.
