Ok so I just tried these moments ago and here's my take on these flavors.

PureCig - It's just burley flavoring. lol. I'm not a taste expert but this is pretty much just like the FA burley flavor I tried. It's tastes similar to a cig that I bummed off a Chinese co-worker once. Some brand imported from China, which I didn't particularly like. Real green/grassy tasting. It's okay. It needs more time to steep though so I'm reserving any final judgements until later.

American Spirit - A bit of burley in this one too, but it has some subtle differences from purecig. It tastes toastier and more brown? Maybe a little bit sweeter I guess, not like RY4 sweet though. I like this one, but to me it doesn't taste anything like an American Spirit though. This one also needs a little bit more steeping time. Will re-visit this if I don't vape it all up too quickly.

In my experience with tobacco flavors so far, it's the cigars and the pipe tobaccos that more closely resemble their namesakes.
Cigarettes are a difficult flavor (or lack thereof) to get right it seems.
I'm not sure it's even possible.
And like some have stated, if someone does finally figure it out... it'll probably taste like **** anyways ;).

Also tried Vermillion's Kentucky Premium Blend and :):vapor::):vapor::)
GOOOOD tasting vape.
Doesn't try to resemble a cigarette, and thank god for that.. this flavor is like when you smell some cured pipe tobacco aroma in the air and it smells so good.
But it's like smoking the aroma, not the burning tobacco.. if that makes sense.
So in other words... it's better.
