Yer i'd be worried about the soft copper threads but at the price it is i wouldn't lose too much sleep over it. It won't rust though, not in the sense that iron does, it'll corrode and go dull like brass does when a decent oxide layer occurs. Don't worry you'll soon get fed up with polishing it and just accept it as it is like the rest of us :)

What's everyone's thoughts on the Fasttech Copper Nemesis. Mine just got in the mail today.

My biggest worries are the threading getting weak and the copper rusting lol.

Use Noalox on the threads to increase current transfer and smooth thread operation reducing wear. Clean an replace about once a month.

Bummer about the threads. I just sold my SS Nemmy to a friend, thinking I wouldn't need it anymore. lol Maybe it was a bad move. I'm not trying to be an indian giver though lol

Guess I'm going to order another one for a back up/daily driver. What clones are recommended by you guys for 50$ or less? Is the stingray even that different from the Nemmy?

Thank you vape dan. I really want my Nemmy to last hah.

I wouldn't sweat it too much. Although copper IS softer than SS, if you take care of it, clean it, and lube the threads (some folks recommend Noalox, I use a copper-based anti-seize) it will last a good long time.

I have clones of both, the Nemesis in SS and the Stingray in brass. Other than aesthetic differences and a few design differences, they're both about equal in my eyes, but YMMV. I give them both a thumbs up.

I suggest No-ox-id over nolax (which is basically a mixture of zinc powder and grease) because it's specifically designed to prevent oxidation. Also the grease in the Nolox dries over time requiring removal and reapplication. OTOH, electrical connections made 50+ years ago with No-ox-id are supposedly just like new.

Apply just to the threads. Although I suppose you could apply it to the part of the switch that does the actual electrical connection, the screw threads, inner hole of threaded bit and center post of the bottom, both inside for the adjustment pin and outside where it slides in the threaded bit. .

I highly recommend the HCigar Clones for the Nemesis over all the others. Now I had a Tobecco and it was great however it isn't 1:1 like the HCigar I got from Vape Royalty. I have the stainless ( almost seamless when put together), copper and brass. I've also picked up the black, red, and royal blue aluminum tubes from FT and work great with my setup. I might add these where $9.58 per 3 piece set. I'm still under the cost of a single Nemesis original and it works as well if not better. Between my Nemesis and soon hopefully DNA 30 anaH clone I will be good to go regardless. I also have several Kayfun clones as well as a Patriot (gold 22mm), IGO-W (halo top cap), TOBH (3 tops, copper, brass and stainless), 2 Omega (gold and stainless), IGO-M, and a Stillare all clones except the IGOs.

I think that DNA clone is the new MOD I've been looking for. It's nice, vapes tanks as low as .4 and it's VV/VW? Thats really sexy. Maybe I'll cop one. They're always about 100$? And I can charge my 18650 on it?

I preordered from 101vape for $70 and you can change your battery with your choice of 18650 as well as charge without removing it also.

Noalox is an Anti-seize specifically for aluminum, but used on other metal connections by purchasers. It was not designed to increase current on anything. Cleaning threading before application does that just fine.

Copper is not stainless, but used properly the threads should hold up just fine. there is no need to over tighten any of the devices that go on these and with an adjustable center pin, there is no center pressure while attaching(if you back out the pin)
