Yep, I should have known that when you order a cheap $6 clone you really do get what you pay for. When my IGO finally arrived I noticed that the holes were placed directly behind the posts....nice. On the plus side though, I was able to find a workaround that has actually become one of my favorite builds.
I built the coils vertically right next to the negative posts and wrapped them with cotton.

Once I had my coils wrapped I stuffed cotton behind them and around the post so that when the air is drawn in it has nowhere to go but through the center of the coil.

Turns out this build works really great and I am quite happy with the vape.
