I carry a lighter with me when I go out to the bars just to light up girls smokes. It's an easy way to break the ice with the girl across the bar or whatever. I don't smoke anymore, don't even like the smell of it anymore, but I'll pull out my vape and chat with them while they smoke away. If they are curious about my e-cig then I'll let them try it, tell them about all the benefits over smoking and whatnot. If they like it they like it, if they don't, oh well, I am a happy guy either way.

An evangelical vaper...go for it...if it works it is a come to Jesus moment!

meh, sorry luv.. you were a smoker once. and despite stinky car, clothes, breath, etc.. you probably looked down on people who told ya to quit just randomly in public. You didn't have a light, so the girl moved on. Big deal.

insert the rude "ooh. stupid vaper" inbetween not having a light and girl moving on. thats something i wouldnt have said. wasnt there personally so I couldnt hear how strong of a condescending undertone it had.

I was at the Doc's office the other day and a lady came in from smoking and asked anyone if they had a cigarette. This was a first for me since I quit smoking that I didn't have one to share. My friend told her to get an ecig, LoL. I told her, "yeah get an ecig for times like these!" I thought I was being helpful. The lady said her daughter has one of those "things." Some lady in the lobby must have taken pity cuz' she stood up and led her outside with smokes in hand.

Look, I'm not defending the girl or what she said. But who are we to judge? Most (if not all) were smokers once. And she clearly wanted a light. Disappoint a drunk, don't expect mensa grade feedback.
