Hey guys,

I have a small issue when trying to install the fuse upgrade... First here is a picture:

fusekit.jpg

On the left is the Fuse Kit upgrade followed by the center post unscrewed from the cap in the middle. You can notice that threads differ between two posts in width and length and the Fuse Kit will not screw in the black plastic piece in the bottom cap. And I am completely unable to unscrew the black plastic piece from the cap to see if the Fuse Kit will screw directly into the cap without the plastic piece in it.

It's not too big of a deal because the original post is threaded on the inside and allows me to screw in the top part of the Fuse Kit (just like OP in his video) but I'm just curious if there is a way to use the whole new Fuse Kit in this bottom cap.

Thanks for your help.

Vaporologist - I just looked at mine for comparison. The original center post from my brass bottom cap and my fuse are the same as in your pics. They switch out just fine. The center post from my nickel cap is the same as the one on the fuse. Everything swaps around just fine and works appropriately. Maybe the insulator on your bottom cap is wonked?

The insulator seems to be in a perfect condition. The original post that came with the unit screws in and out very smoothly without any problem. The threads on the Fuse Kit are wider and cannot go down. And even if they could somehow, the threaded area seems considerable shorter and possibly wouldn't make contact with the brass part of the button.

Like I said, it's not that big of a deal to me since I it was very easy to unscrew and remove the top part of the fuse with springs and install it in the original post. I just wanted to make sure that I'm not missing something...

A bit of advice, everyone with a GG should own one of these. Its a small rubber mat made for opening the lids on jars, but you can tighten atomizers, fuse posts, telescoping battery sections, you name it with no tools and minimal effort, trust me. I got one at wallmart a while back for $1

*had to post this because the idea of taking pliers and a rag to a work of art scares me when I can use one of these lol

Or you can use an old mouse pad. These work great and are made very similar to the jar openers

Hi Vapor:)

We dont care about the length of the threads but we do care about the width of the threads. Its obvious that these threads are not good ones. Please ask Brucer to send you a new fuse buddy

Thanks for stepping in... I may do that next time I place an order with him. Since on of the posts is not being used anyways and would be a spare, it's not a problem that deserves an immediate attention. Thank you.

The collapsed battery spring is not a real protection because it will still allow current to pass if it still makes connection with batteries Pain. But spring on fuse will be totally get burned so it will not allow current to pass.

Changing fuse springs is not easier but its safer buddy:)
