I've got them in all the tanks I'm now using, I switched from 22 mm to the 25 mm. I have a Daedalus which is used to put the outer winding on, I have to agree the SS claptons are great, the one I have in the tank I'm now using has been in about 3 months.
As far as as claptons you can do them as stainless base with a kanthal overwrap as well
I've tried the clapton Ni80 & Ni80/kanthal. They were good, just not as good 316l IMO. Tried the ss 430 & wasn't a fan in power mode, good in tc. Haven't tried NiFE, I think that's what the wire is called.
Wow, 3 months really?? How much juice are vaping?? This is my first time using this type coil so I'm curios to see how long it'll last me.
As long as you're not doing TC non cartridge coils can last a really long time with dry burning and wick replacement. Ti and Ni cannot be dry burned safely at all and SS can only handle it a few times before you start to get accuracy problems. If you're NOT doing TC though you can use em till the center wire goes which can be up to a year or more.
My coils rarely make it to their full life span. Unfortunately I enjoy coil killer juices, usually change monthly whether needed or not. Or I order a new coil I just can't wait to try. I do keep used coils tho.
A very rough guess on juice would be 6 ml per day. The Smok G-Priv is very good on accepting SS coils but a Eleaf Pico 25 has problems with the resistances. I'm low on temp about 340 F with a preheat of 35 W. The SS can be burnt for cleaning but I'm not sure how the Kanthal would burn.
