I'm a strong believer of e-Cig.
It'll oneday (in 5-10 years?) replace the conventional smoking all together.

There are some 50 million people smoke in the USA.
However, even though this cigar like vaporizer is strong in this early market,
I don't see everybody sticking a big awkward device to their mouth.
The thin cigarette like e-cig is too limited in battery life and cartridge.

So, what would the future common e-cig be like?
Anyone?

Happy vaping :2cool:

Ah, this thread again. One pops up every couple of months. Interesting to see how perspectives change over the years.

IMHO the future PV is going to look like a cigarette, have at least a 5000mAh battery life, use some kind of gel or solid nicotine substance, and be variable power.

At least it's something to chat about... I was getting bored with all the more recent repeats.

  • Using new tech - smaller, more powerful for their size, batteries.
  • Coil materials that last for months - perhaps years.
  • Concentrated juices (or gel/solid as SS postulates) that produce excellent flavor and last 3-4 times longer per ml than current products.
  • A reduction in questionable product choices, as the vape consumer becomes more savvy... and stops buying all the useless crap that floods our shores. Chinese companies that get wise, and stop producing so much junk - change tactics and start making better, more technologically advanced products - to meet the above, smarter consumer demands.

Unfortunately eSolid in it's current form is total crap. Hopefully it'll eventually develop into a usable product that would allow for attys filled with enough nic juice/gel/solid to vape for days without being contained in a huge tank.

Oops! Didn't mean to sound like I thought it was a bad thing. It's much better to start a new thread every couple of months than to resurrect the same thread over and over. It helps to date them and shows a progression of thought.
Would that be Uranium-Ion battery, LOL.

Naw. Probably something along the lines of nanowire batteries.

Plus that is just us, Other Forums out there, smaller but they there.
Plus the ones that vape but haven't found there way here yet.
Plus the New Vapers everyday.

We aren't going anywhere. Vape On :vapor:

Not sure if you meant us the Vaper or the e-cigs we use but aren't they the same?

Instead of VV or VW it will be MIND CONTROLLED power regulation via the government mandated brain chip implant.

Mark this day. You heard it here first.

No thanks on the solid nic, it would mean including something besides PG VG and nic.

I'd settle for a nice small box mod with easy controls, a battery that would last a week without the danger of venting. And a topper that could control the feed of juice without dry hits, flooding and leaking.

Before you got into eCigs what would your reaction have been if someone told you to inhale Propylene Glycol and Vegetable Glycerin? Just because we've been using juice made of four major ingredients (PG, VG, Nic, and Flavoring) doesn't mean there aren't entirely safe additives that can improve the vaping experience.

That box exists. It's the MVP v2, and there are a plethora of tanks that fit your criteria.

e-cigs won't even surpass use of regular cigarettes for at least 10-20 years and if they keep lumping them in with the smoking restrictions in legislation it will be doubtful if they ever do. In future the delivery system will have to be 100 percent user absorbed so as to keep the antis from worrying about it. eSnuff anyone? clear flavored nicotine powder absorbed in the nasal cavities with no more unslightly brown hankies.

The Future of e-Cigarettes? More mAh per Battery Size.

The Future of e-Liquids? Pre-Filled Cartos taxed to a similar rate as a Pack of Analogs.

I really wish I could argue with the second half, but that seems to be the logical conclusion. I don't think they're going to have much luck banning liquid nic totally, though. Just the sale of premixed juice.

Going back to my "editorial" in the 4th post, 4th item... and pointing to some of SS's comments (which I would have to agree with) regarding what we have now that's good...

The quality of most genuine products we have now is excellent... but for many, unaffordable.

The clones, of Kayfuns, Taifuns... the upcoming SQuape clone - I see these as good things. First, it allows the middle class to obtain a solid design (albeit with some quality issues)... second, it gives the clone makers incentive to do better, and realize that we don't want cheap crap... we want reasonably priced and good quality.

IMO - "Economically restrained" US buyers will pay $50-$75 for a good atty... but not $150-$200. Somewhere down the line... the price and quality of Chinese products will rise to meet that middle class, middle price conscious consumer.

When earphones can out... They looked awkward.... It's just a matter of time for big battery mods to look perfectly normal.

When some film director sticks a Nemesis in the hands of Brad Pitt, every body will want one.

That esolid thing didnt catch on so I think we are stuck with juice for a good long while.

The future of ecigs is the future of batteries. I want to see an 10 000 mAh 100 amp limit 18350. The 18XXX form factor is perfect for good juice capacity.... And I personally like it.

MVP v2 is a nice step forward, but the longevity and safety are still lacking. And if the tanks are so perfected, I guess we can let the moderators know they don't need the Cartomizers, Clearomizers and Tanks sub forums for troubleshooting problems....

I'm talking about a topper that provides a constant, reliable vape without modding, tweaking, building, re-building...etc.

Meaning a clearo/glasso type - impossible to screw up even with an idiot at the helm - atty? I don't think that's going to happen Stosh.
Disregarding the genuinely bad products out there, and focusing only on the good - no matter how much effort is made by a manufacturer - to make an atty dead simple and stone reliable - someone will find a way to ruin it... and then they'll complain about it on ECF. ;-)

There are just some folks... that have an innate ability to make anything not work correctly.

Amen. Just because some people are too stupid to correctly use something doesn't mean that it's a bad product. I'm not saying that there's no room for improvement, but I am saying that what we've got now is so head and shoulders above what was available three years ago when I started that if development apocalyptic ally stopped right now we would still be pretty well off.
