I'll be.......

......... like minds think (alike) ;)

As I've been told by a few wise men " You can bet that if you thought it - someone has also ... -- You must move swiftly with great thoughts or sit back and let others reap the rewards........

The later part of the statement I have seen proven time and time again

God speed and may the best man win....

Keep up the work

Had some passing thoughts....

I hope you are working on a design based on watt control and not simply voltage. This, to me, is FAR more important [as is determining resistance of the atty before each vape to compensate -- if you can do that DURING the vape I bow :nun: to you)

But then again -- it all about temperature (or is it ;))

That's how a PWM works, Watts, by it's nature it's a power controller. Unless Cisco is just driving it with a 555, not likely with so many PIC chips with PWM outputs. And OH YES good luck to them from me too

Exactly, watts/power controller , how ever you say it, but for clarity here on this forum , voltage seems to be more easily understood.

Thanks Charlie

Software? Processors? USB programming? Profiles and logs?

Honestly, the whole thing sounds needlessly complex - and insanely expensive.

Sorry to sound like a ...., but I don't know why anyone would really need any of that.

I know a lot of smokers who think "cartridges? atowhatsits? honestly I just need a smoke and a lighter..":p

This may be a PV that not everyone will use. I myself, probably will not go through the hassle. But hey, there's a lot of people who will love the idea. It's not that people feel they need it, it's that people feel they want it.

Sorry to sound like a .....?............To late...

This is not for everyone and if you think its to complex and over the top, then obviously you shouldn't get one, but I do appreciate your productive post, your opinion is dually noted....

Would I punch a puppy for one? No, but I would give a puppy a stern talking to for one.

Some people don't know why anyone would want to listen to digitally compressed music on a tiny device, but that doesn't mean the majority of us non-luddites don't like our ipods. A phonograph is much simpler and you can make one yourself out of construction paper and a pin if you want, but there is obviously a market for a more advanced (and expensive) music player. I think the 30-or-so excited posts before yours would indicate that a lot of people do want a PV like this.

As for being complex, it really isn't. It's complicated compared to the simple battery-and-button setup that most mods employ, but compared to pretty much any other electronic device you use, it is pretty basic. The hardware and software engineering that is required for this kind of setup is about one hundredth as complex as an mp3 player or a cell phone, and Chinese factories crank out new cheap versions of those every other day. It only seems crazy and complicated because nobody's done it before. In another year, you might be wondering why anybody would want a "dumb" PV that can't digitally regulate the power to the atty.
