Joytech will allow barcode and serial number look-up online in order to check for knock off products.

From the press release:

From recent marketing feedback, we receive many emails verifying if they are using genuine joyetech products. At the same time,we find many distributors resell knock-offs in the name of joyetech. Regarding this situation, we joyetech decide to apply the use of barcode and serial number. We have a specific barcode for every product’s package. Customers could check and verify on the support page on Joyetech electronic cigarette Tank System Changeable System eGo-C eGo-T 510-T e-Liquid, which tells you detailed description of the corresponding photos and specifications...

With the release of eRoll, we began to apply for the serial number. Every product has its own serial number and each serial number has its corresponding security code. They are all randomly and solely generated by computers...Before delivery, Joyetech factory would scan the serial numbers and get them recorded with the corresponding orders. We will memorize them in our company server computer. Meanwhile, Joyetech distributors would also get serial number recorded in their sale. As a result, every Joyetech product could be traceable. Whenever customers need more information from our Joyetech or Joyetech distributors, only need to provide the serial numbers.

Yea just a few nights ago I stumbled across that, and checked the barcode on my Ego-C box, shes legit
nevertheless, I did my research beforehand
