I hear ya, I take a good collection to the cottage but on an impromptu road trip...I'm the kinda of guy where if my left hand could be detached I would have lost it long ago (it'd be hanging out with several sets of car keys and my hair)...to pack that many good devices into one kit...that's a lot of eggs in one basket :(

Also just thinking about re-wrapping wicks, maybe some of the vets can advise...my success rate on new coil/new wick is pretty good right out of the gate...however it seems when I re-wrap on a seasoned wick my success rate just tanks and it's short city (I just give them a light brush with an old tooth brush)...any tips on what I may be doing wrong? what I should be doing?

When I'm re-using an existing wick, I give it a good blast of the burner to get rid of all the cr*p off it, then just recoil it. Don't normally get any shorts then

I very rarely re-wick because my Kanthal has never burnt out. It only breaks after I fiddle with it too much after a lot of use and by that time it's time for a new wick. But on the occasional refill I will dry burn the wick until the crusty stuff on the coil turns white, then lightly brush it with a tooth brush. This returns the flavor with less shorting issues.

First off, thanks for everything. The GTUS is a thing of beauty no doubt. Rocking it ghost protocol style. Not sure if this has been mentioned but the top of a Vision Stone makes a damn fine top for the GP.

After several ss wicks that appeared to be perfect, solids and straws, I just couldn't like it. I taste a hint of metal and the wick can't keep up with my chain vaping. I have had success with a cotton wick so I tried that. The cotton wick kicks the crap out of ss imo. Since it is flexible I was able to shape it so the nichrome would be as close to the screws as possible and out toward the intake air hole. If you're having problems with the ss or just aren't happy with it give the cotton a try.

Is it me or does this look ALOT like a Star Wars lightsaber? Super cool pic bluegrasslover! :)

I'm guessing he used the Stone tank cap on a section of polycarbonate tubing cut to the length desired.

I'm curious as well as I thought the top cap of the Vision Stone tank was threaded so how would that work and wondering if it just press-fits into place or is loose on the poly tube?

You can see a better pic of the top cap at the below link:

Vision 5ml 2.0 Ohm Stone Tank Clearomizer

But I'm wondering if my current carto tank caps (either delrin or SS) would also work the same way since I believe the ID of the tank (5/8') is the same as the poly tube for the Ghost Protocol tube but can't seem to find what the ID of the poly used for the GP is?

Anyway, just my 2 and 3 cents :)

That link says the Stone Tank is 13mm OD, but that sure doesn't look right compared to the 510 threading in the pics.

Not sure, pic is from another vendor's site where I was able to link to the pic directly, MadVapes I guess doesn't allow this.....anyway once I get my Ghost-Protocol I'll try my Carto Tank end caps to see cause that would be pretty nice to be able to use either my SS or Brushed SS end caps.
