WOW these are nice.

THANKYOU DAN!!!

i have not had time to play with it yet but so far the only thing i have noticed is the air hole in the drip top is 1/4 inch higher than all the other setups. looks like it points right at the top of the coil or just above it. anybody know if this will make any significant difference? i plan on using regular wick for dripping so it might not be as critical but with a ss wick it might be important. i did like the fact that if i us a regular little short wick without using a long screw on the neg side the coil could end up slanted between the screws and the air hole (if it wasnt too high) when aligned with the neg screw would point at the bottom of the slanting part. but idk it still might work better with it pointing from the side of the coil or it could be a moot point with regular wick. cant wait to get it set up lol
thanks again dan for all the hard work

Has anyone tried different gauges of wire instead of 6 coils on the smaller GTUS wicks? I have a bunch of different gauges of Nichrome/Kanthal myself, though I only use the one roll of 32 on my SGV3.

Ihave 32/34/36 nichrome but stopped using it when I discovered kanthal. All I use now is 32awg kanthal, had problem with nichrome constantly burning out.

Dan, is that the dual coil setup at the end of the wick with paper video? I'm very curious about your impressions on this too. :)

I actually went down to a single coil in the pic as the dual coil I had was right at 1.3 ohms and was causing my provai fits. It does not like it that low of ohms.

WOW these are nice.

Here's my geetus base with wick and coil, that wick ain't goin thru the mid section, too fat
P6070726.jpg
dripper top with wick sticking out
P6070725.jpg
A delrin or some driptip except metal
P6070724.jpg
screwed into a phidias tanker
P6070723.jpg
18650,kick,drippin genny, the long wick holds enough liquid for several good hits
P6070722.jpg
Excellent drippin genny!!
When I get a wick to fit thru the mid section without screwing up the coil,It'll be a scubageetusphidias!
And the drippin fixes the cool vape too.

Oh darn. I already ruined the philips head on one of the post screws. I cannot turn the screw unless I use needle nose pliers to grab the screw head.

Fastenal to the rescue!

My screwdriver was slipping on mine that's why I was asking for the parts list again. Though...these are 0-80 right? I may join asdaq and go with the 0-80 stud/nut method if it strips. I have some I bought for a SGV3 dual coil.

Aye. 0-80 x 1/2" for the tall post, 0-80 x 1/8" for the short one.

I finally got it working...though the flavor is still moderate, not as good as CE2. I was prepping the wick wrong. I had been oxidizing the wick with a large torch a pure blue flame. I got a regular old lighter out and that really soot it up good. I think my problem was that the torch put a FINE layer of oxidation on the SS. I used a continuity meter on the wick after hitting with the torch and it would not make a sound ..... Then after feeding the wick through the piercer and threading down the oxy would get rubbed off by the inside of the piercer. I discovered this by metering after install, and it would start chirping as I reached the piercer. I also held the lighter under the top and let it soot up the inside and the piercer.

Nice, I'm not familiar with Fastenal, my 'local' location doesn't have these in their stock. C'mon Ace!

My local store didn't have 'em either, but I went to the store with SKU numbers and asked if they could get them for me. Small quantities were not a problem and no shipping charges. I asked for them on a Monday and picked them up the following Friday.

This is good news and may be exactly what I end up doing. From 3 old phones I did find 3 exact replacements for the 1/8 length and even the brass inserts. I also got the small nuts from the small parts drawer in Ace, but honestly don't remember if they had the screws. It is a unique length.

Has anyone thought about drilling the hole in the nylon screw out ever so slightly to allow the positive screw to slide through to the plate it screws into? That would allow the screw to be turned easily like the rest of my atomizers. You would have to be careful to not unscrew to far but I could handle that. I don't know what size drill bit you would have to use but it should work. Can anyone think of a problem with this?
