Might have to go out and buy prepaid flat rate boxes. Of course it's the federal government so they will make you buy a little stamp to make up for the cost =[
Dan, Unfortunately I just remembered that postage is supposed to go up at the first of the year! If you need any help to offset the new cost of shipping just holler! Just want to make sure that you stay stocked with beer for the holidays!
I already pre-ordered 250 USPS priority boxes with Delivery Confirmation labels that came in about a week ago.
So I am all set there, there will be an increase of 2.1% from what I have read, so it will only be about $0.12 cents a box.
We will see.

Damn, more increases? I know express mail flate rate envelopes went up to 18.30 from 17 something just a few years ago. Can't see how they're going bankrupt in this age of online shopping and ebay. Has gotta be a scam so they get bailed out and richy rich higher ups get raises.
Here's the answer, don't want to get political here so I'll provide a link but this stinks and it was done in 2006. People need to contact their legislators and tell them to fix this. Also UPS just announced a 4.9% increase.

I wish i would have gotten in for this co-op. I was just reading the thread and realized what a great thing this was. I hope there will be another co-op that will come around.
Actually....not a hit piece. The unions...all of them, have been taking cuts for years. Our wages have been froze for almost two years. 5 years ago my trade took a cut for one year per contract to 80% scale or normal wage. In the past 6 years...we hav had two raises for a total of $6, but only about a dollar of that made it in the pay scale....the rest went to fringe benefits (Pension and health care).
Sorry for the rant session.....back to your regularly scheduled modding program...

This is so true. That's whats wrong with this country.
They tried to screw around w/the Police, Fire and Teacher unions in Ohio this yr. Gov took it upon himself to enact a new law getting rid of bargaining rights, et. The people spoke and defeated it. At least everyone hasn't lost their minds yet.
Wow, just got back from a business trip and look at all the stuff I missed. I hope everyone helped kick in the extra $ for Dan. I threw in some extra for him when I originally ordered so hopefully the costs + have been covered by now. Dan rocks and so does everyone else who is helping get him out of the red on this co-op. 
I think he came out on top by a small amount thanks to the donations made for assembly.

Will a barbeque lighter (with the long tube) be sufficient for oxidizing, or does it have to be a torch?

Unfortunately the co-op ended so it's not possible to get in on it now. However, there may be leftovers when everything has been manufactured and arrives at Dan's place, which will probably go up for sale, and there will probably be a few people who participated in this co-op who may put a few up for sale in the Marketplace, so keep an eye on that. However, don't expect anything until probably January at the earliest.
So I got my mesh, some nichrome wire. Gonna practice making coils by replacing the coil and wick of a CE2. Everyone talks about how clean the taste Is when using SS as a wick. Can't wait to try it.
