G400

I've had my G400 5 days now, barely long enough to give an opinion. For what it's worth, here's my 2 cents.

Pre-purchase: I thought carefully before buying. It was a fairly new product with little mention of it online. Many praised Nhaler and Drew was quick to answer my questions on ECF. Nhaler's website didn't tell much about the product either. I was interested in the 900mA battery because I already have a mega eGo. Also, the cartomizer holds 2ml of liquid. When I saw pictures on ECF that appeared similar in size to a KR808, I was sold.

Purchase: shipping was prompt. I decided against an extra $35 battery until I'd tried out the basic kit.

Appearance: The look is nice, sorta' like a mini-cigar. I'm not a fan of black, the only color it comes in and the Greenworld inscription is barely noticeable. It's lighter than my mega eGo with a bright lime green light on the end. You could literally light a wooded path at night when you're camping with this light! The G400 size is not overly large, but I was probably expecting something smaller. Pictures below show a comparison to a mega eGo with mega cartridge, a KR808D-1 XL, and an analog. (*note that the 100mm analog did not actually touch my lips!)

Flavor: The flavor shipped with the unit is excellent. I'd describe it as an extremely mild pipe tobacco taste called 'Western'.

Draw: This PV is definately harder to draw through than an eGo, but not difficult. I'd say about the same as my KR808D-1 XL. (*note my cheeks collapsing as I vape in the photo. It wasn't intentional.)

Refilling: I read the easiest way to fill was through the battery end, dripping one drop at a time. I would have used a syringe through the mouthpiece hole, but the PG juice I had wouldn't go through my 16 guage needle and the drawhole is quite small, smaller than my needle! (see pictures compared to a KR808 cart). So, between each drop into the battery end I'd count "1000, 2000, 3000, 4000, 5000" as I watched fluid slowly enter the carto. These things hold ALOT of liquid! It took about 5 minutes to fill it. I thought 20 drops = 1ml, but I lost count around 50 and I'd guess it took around 60 drops.

Compatability: Some ECF posters mentioned compatability with other cartos and/or atomizers, so I've included pics of how those look. IMHO a KR808 carto on a G400 looks way better than the other way around. The G400 has an automatic battery, so buyer beware if you're set on using an adapter with an atomizer. At $35 a battery, I wouldn't advise it.

Charging: I really like the sleek profile charger that comes with the G400. It doesn't stick out far from the wall if you have dogs and kids running through the house.

Cost: I realize prices change and that Drew is currently the only supplier, so price is relative to value. Still, at $60 for 2 of the largest capacity cartos out there, 1 nine hour battery and charger, I paid $60. In my mind that's comparable to buying a mega eGo. Not cheap, but not overly expensive either.

Overall: The G400 is a winner. Very good design and functionality. Hopefully more colors are in the works at GreenWorld. When I'm around town I always bring it because I know the battery or carto won't die. It's a very cool two-piece, which to me means less mess & refilling hassles. I actually prefer autos for this reason. I'd rate the G400 an 8.5 out of 10.

Drew at Nhaler recently wrote he was considering discontinuing PV's with short battery lives. I think he'd be doing customers a big favor. G400's could start new vapors off with a more positive experience so less people would give up shortly after starting to vape. I've gave away six KR808's because the battery life just didn't compare to any of the devices shown in these pics. (except the analog!)

Despite loving the G400, I have to admit it's now my 2nd favorite PV. Despite the hassle and mess of carts or dripping, the mega eGo has a much easier draw, more colors and will stand vertically at attention on a table top (so cool).

My first G400 carto lasted for 3 days of on and off vaping (I was alternating between the G400 and the Wetbox). It turns out that the G400 caps are not glued and pop right off. Then you can pull out the HUGE inner d shaped cart. Yes it is HUGE! I dripped 80 drops and I think it could have held more. So now I'm vaping the refilled cart still on the first charged battery. My second battery is charged and lonely still waiting for the first one to die - lol.

Good review, I just heard about these. Seems like my questions were answered above. I was wondering if the cartos were designed like the regular Greencig cartos; where you couldn't get into them easily. Seems like they are accessible:

Another question I had was the batt volt:
On my digital multimeter I get 3.68v.

Is that under load or right off the charger?

The only thing that may keep me from ordering is the cost of replacing cartos/batts. I'm waiting on the new ceramic XL CE2 cartos that hold around 2ml w/o filler. This does look like a good device though.

Assembled: length 5-1/4", width 15/32". On my digital multimeter I get 3.68v.

It's just so great to completely forget about filling & charging for long periods. Even with mega carts, I'm filling the eGo several times a day. A definite advantage of the G400.

So the G400 cartomizer is bigger than the eGo mega cartos? The eGo mega cartos and mega cartridges are advertised as holding 2.5 ml of juice. If the G400 holds 2 ml of juice, but actually holds more than the eGo mega cartos/carts than the eGo's are being drastically exaggerated.

I hope this isn't true as I just purchased a couple starter kits with extra mega atomizer/carts and mega cartomizers because I was drawn in by the alleged 2.5 ml juice capacity!

Don't know about the cartos, but the eGo mega carts hold 2ml.

Sorry, I should've been clearer. I was using the '510 mega cart' instead of the 'eGo mega carto'

The Mega Cart(ridge) I meant, looks like this: 10pc XL/mega empty cartridges for Joye510 e-cigarette - Cartridges Heaven Gifts

The Mega Carto(mizer) you meant, looks like this: 5pc black prefilled eGo cartomizers with 4 flavors - eGo cartomizer Heaven Gifts

Let us know how you like the eGo mega carto. I've been wanting to order those.

^ From looking into it more it looks like the eGo mega atty/cart combo holds more than the ego mega cartos. Around 2-2.5 ml for the atty/cart combo and to avoid leakage no more than 1.8 ml for the carto with stock filler. Ive got 5 mega attys and 5 mega cartos coming so I'll keep everyone posted how they go. The eGo mega cartos will be my first experience with cartomizers. Very excited for my 900mA XL eGo's!

Well, been vaping on the G400 a couple days, and am just now recharging the battery. Draw is easier than I expected, not as easy as most, but not like sucking on a milkshake either. The cartos are just like earlier versions, just larger, and easier to fill. As previously mentioned the caps are not glued in, and the cartridges come out fairly easy using a dental pick. These do vape a little different than most, given the same juice, the G400 cartos give a lighter flavor and throat hit than most other cartos, but seem to increase vapor slightly. I haven't put my voltmeter to either the battery to cartos, but I'm guessing I'll find a reason for the different vape when I do.

All in all, I think they are worth getting.
