Hate when that happens... :glare:

Whip out your multimeter and measure. Don't have one, get one they are inexpensive. $20 or so at home improvement store of your choice (Lowes, Home Depot, etc.).

Could drag out a magnifying glass and look. Higher ohm coils would have more loops or thinner wire.

No multimeter here but I do have a magnifying glass!! Thanks for the tip!

1. I'm sure you have a friend or neighbor who has a multi tester. If you are going to play at all with coils, a multi tester is invaluable. And you can test regular batteries, fuses. I wouldn't be without one. I have 3. Harbor Freight has one for under $7.

2. If you get different ohm coils, I'd mark them. Take a small sharp file, and under the condom, file one small scratch, or two scratches, then 2 on one side, one on the other, then 2 on each side, and write down which are which. Make sure you clean the filings, but you are only putting a small mark.

3. You could trim about 1/8 inch from one side of the coil wick, and that will show the difference.

4. Or buy a multimeter!!!!!
