Anyone else excited for the season finale? I'm going to be reading the books while I wait for next season to start up.

I love these books. It's like an R rated LOTR. Great job so far on the series.

Two hours ago, I was bawling my eyes out after watching episode 9. Oh Ned

I've only read book 1 in the series and I have to read more before next season starts. The show is excellent but the books are better They sure did add a "Jerry Springer" spin to the show. They added lotsa smut and vulgarities that weren't in the book. HBO must have wanted it raunchier for their network.

Isn't the cast amazing? Perfectly chosen and the acting is phenomenal!

Absolutely love this show. I'll miss it lol. HBO goes out of it's way with some of their series. Imo, this is one of them.

I was hooked from the start of the first episode. That creepy eyed chick was freaky! I had no clue it was going to be that kind of show. I need to get reading.

Awesome just awesome. The whole season. Despite HBO's continued lowest common denominator insistence on using gratuitous nudity and soft core porn to rope in a wider audience. I like skin as much as the next guy but c'mon. This ain't The Sopranos. My gf says The Tudors was even worse in this regard.

Presently reading the episode synopses on wikipedia. Well after I'm done here I will be again!

I was worried that the dragons would be ordinary, like the Stark's direwolves. They were beautifully crafted and perfect! Excellent job on rendering them Gosh I can't wait to read the next few books.

This thread deserves a bump. I'm reading the books now; on the third. The book is always better than the onscreen adaption and I loved that but omg am I impressed and enthralled with A Song Of Ice And Fire. I'm pretty sure they're my favorite series ever. Haven't really been into any books either since, well, the internet.

The books are epic in scale, and totally engrossing. The first season is just the tip of the iceberg, I promise you that.

1 year isn't so bad. We waited for almost 6 years for his last book that just came out this year.
