This is my fi moding rst time EVER anything i own. The idea was given to me when people were moding their end caps and changing out lights. I wanted a super bright light and a Gamer type swing to it. So what did i do?

I broke a $50 remote. Tore out the buttons. And applied them to the end of my ecig for a unique and BRIGHT endcap. The buttons wrap and intensify the light that is produced for an even brighter cap. Its going to be a fun thing to have on when im gaming late at night :)

I am looking for an easier way to put on the end caps and before you freak out. I already ordered replacement buttons for my controller lol. It was my 5th spare controller and i wanted to see what was inside anyway. ANYWAY! Here it is:

I tried multiple things. As you can see the buttons are slightly bigger than the battery. So my first idea was to simply hallow it out and use it as a cap over the end. Well after i got it the PERFECT FIT!... it cracked... the plastic was just too thin. So i found myself just cutting it down to size and glueing it onto the tip and it works perfectly. I removed the original end cap to do this as well. I am hoping at some point to get other remotes like a Broken Wiimote or a broken PS2/3 remote to try it on different buttons.

BTW you can order Xbox 360 buttons on Ebay for $3.00 including shipping. Thats what i did to replace the button i broke :)

I actually have modded a few xbox 360 controllers for myself and friends. I install rapid fire chips, install ps3 thumbsticks into xbox controllers, change leds, ect.

The leds in xbox controllers are 0603 SMD's or surface mount leds, which I believe are the same size as the ones on the v4l batteries....

I have blue, yellow, green and deep red at my house, I was going to swap led's in some batteries, but I use mods now so there's no real point.
I believe some member swapped then out, (adrenalyn maybe?) but I couldn't find the thread.

**I wouldn't recommend swaping SMD led's unless your a confident soldering god! They are a PITA!**

Sorry back on topic: If you want to remove the logo or letters on the buttons, just slowly drill them out from the inside. Instructions can be found here: Xbox 360 mods Controller LED lighted mod

If you think the plastic is getting too thin to drill, just wrap some fine grit sand paper around a wooden dowl or something and slowly file the letters away once you get down to them......

Ok, for fellow gamers out there, I have a totally non e-cig related question. I have a daughter who thinks she is a beaver and has chewed off the nice comfy coating on the sticks of my XBox 360 controllers. She got to all of them before I found out, so I didn't get a chance to stop her. She chews on anything that has a foam type feel to it, she's chewed off the hands and feet on all of her Barbie dolls too. Just more proof that oral fixations start very young. Anyway, is there a way to replace those sticks or am I gonna have to suck it up and buy new controllers to be able to game in comfort?

Many months ago I saw a company, (can't find the link now), that had an led on the end with a flair. It was a slightly larger diameter than the barrel of the battery. Benefit, I wouldn't need to hold my hand in front of the ash cap to see if it was blinking, (dying).

No joke, how many have held their had in front while vaping to see if it was a solid light?

You'd be able to get V4L custom logo designs into those end caps dont'cha think
?
I'm against LEDs on the ends on principle however, I think the led should be somehow on teh side so you can see it while vaping without having to cup a hand around it or hold a finger to it.

Oh, Dashiva, I am SOOOOO with you on that. I have been pushing all our suppliers to improve that. IMO if it's not visible to the user, it's pointless.
