Gap between new P+ 18650 and Kicklet

There's a thumbnail sized gap between the two. Any idea why or if I can get rid of it or at least minimize it?

Love the mod BTW.

Thats how they all fit as far as I know... I have a P+18 it has the same gap......

That gap is normal, the Kiklet is universal fit and some units have deeper recessed pins then others so it has to be a bit longer to fit the majority of units out there.

maybe now with your own machine, you can come up with an updated model that has an adjustable pin or just make an updated pin that can be swapped out? I know its a minor gap, but somehow, my eye just gets fixated on these pesky gaps. It happens with one of my Sabers. I use only carto tanks on it now, so that I can push the carto up just a bit and no gap. I only do this with my tanks that have channels on the bottom for air of course.

I bet it would, an O ring would work also, maybe even a 20mm stainless washer.

Good question and i'm afraid i can't put a date on it. Digging our way out of a hole as far as getting caught up on existing projects. I can say it will be after the ELA and PrecisePlus stocks get back up to par. Hope this message finds you well.

Thank you for asking, SuperDave! I'm really enjoying a Vivi Nova on my (well, originally, your) P+650, but the original slant cap requires a shorty 510 extension to use it without cutting off the airflow and/or wobbling. Functional, but inelegant solution.

And truthfully, I'd rather have a piece that matches the precise (well, for lack of a better word, precisely) instead of having a gap. Though I suppose either option would satisfy my twin requirements of better airflow and bringing VW/VV 18650 goodness to the P+.

Been neglecting the little guy lately, and I'm falling in love with the precise all over again. Craftsmanship, design and utility of it is unmatched. I may dally and stray from time to time, but I'm not EVER giving up the durability of the precise! If for no other reason, it will be indispensable if Uncle Fed ever jumps in and starts the vapepocalypse.

In the meanwhile, I'll have to ponder if I should get the existing kicklet flat cap, kicklet for the Kick, wait for the new part, etc.

A solution proposed by David is to send your existing cap in with return shipping and they'll push up the center post a tad for better connectivity with some atomizers. Seems to have worked for some people, and I think units ship this way now.

BUT......it sounds like the kiklet (keep struggling to not put in the 'c') sounds like it should fit my old school first gen precise plus with no gap then, doesn't it?

Huh. Spend $60 to use the kiklet now with my existing precise plus.....OR pop $200 for the new adjustable mod that will work with any size battery and the kick and have air adjustment to boot. Gah, just when I thought was reaching the break even point on vaping!!!

David has said, and at least one customer has experienced that the Kiklet cap doesn't screw down fully (a slight gap) on some P+18650s because the body threads can be too short.
Works fine on my particular unit, though.

The Kiklet will work on most all 510 threaded mods, including both the older Precise and the Newer PrecisePlus. Just the top cap of the kiklet also can be used on most Precise and PrecisePlus 18XXX mods if you want a shorter flat top look to your mod.
