I'm getting really bad stomach cramps that feels like gas and ends up cramping the bladder and bowel areas. Man this can floor you when at it's worst. Can't bloody walk ... 3 times i have had it now. It lasts about a week.

Quit smoking last June and all was well for 7 months but for the last 2 months it's been a worry. I used to just vape VG fruity flavor from LFs and then I hit PLUID and started trying lots of new liquids.. I have no reason to believe that PLUID is the cause but heres food for thought..

I bought some 100% PG Nicotine from Liberty Flights about a year ago. Didn't know how to store it. Anyway I have been using it to up the nicotine level on some of the newer juices I have been trying. It was see through liquid and has now turned a bit yellow. Does this mean the nicotine is off ??

I have other bottles and the liquid seems clear.

My doctor says I have Gas and muscles cramping my bladder .. Well no s h i t sherlock !! sorry but I have no faith in what doctors have to say.. I went to a blind acupuncturist with years of experience and he seemed to understand what it was, he sorted me out and I was farting with joy.. I was delighted that my system was working again and at one point I felt a fart coming and I do believe I gave a merry 'toot' with a happy smile.

But it's come back again as expected and wanted to know if any of you have had any bad experiences with lower bladder cramps, gas cramps, you know what I want to ask so I'll just ask it.

Does Nicotine liquid cause gassy cramps ? You guys have the experience and i'm sure have more knowledge on on this.. thanks for reading and happy farting..

I had the same, er... condition when I switched to vaping. It lasted about 2-3 months, then my system settled down. From what I've read, this reaction is not unusual for new vapers.

As far as your yellowed liquid goes, nicotine will oxidize over time and turn yellowish, but it does not affect the nicotine's effectiveness. This I learned from reading Wizard Labs info on nicotine solutions. I'm looking for the link and will post it fyi.

Been reading other threads, gas does seem to be a problem with vaping, whats the story on this. I really hope it's not vape related.. that would depress me.

Actually I've always thought it was more a result of stopping smoking than starting vaping, but I could be wrong, and since it started happening to you only after months of vaping, I don't know... Forgot to say earlier than judicious consumption of Gas-X tablets allowed me to function in public. (BTW, I don't think it's the nicotine; otherwise we'd all have been tooting merrily during our smoking years. It could be another ingredient... I just don't know...)

Sorry, but I can't find the info I referred to. Wizard Labs seems to have changed their info sheet on nicotine. Did find another forum reference, though, that confirmed what I said. This is not, however, as official a statement as I'd prefer.

Nicotine will yellow and even brown with oxidation. air and light speed oxidation. It can effect the taste of the nicotine if oxidation is
severe. It should not effect the strength. some fresh nic will be slightly yellow in color. It is best to store nic with the least amount of air and light as possible.

As far as the OTHER issue, I got nothing

Anything that the digestive system does not like can cause bloating, upset, gas etc.

You can get gastric symptoms if you just have too much of a nic level in your bloodstream or if you get nicotine into your gastric system directly.. This might be more of your issue then suddenly getting un atomized nicotine. Many people have reported that they seem to need less nicotine once they start vaping then they did when smoking. Thats very hard to gauge - you would assume that the rule of thumb of needing high nicotine juice (say 24 mg) is what a 2 pack a day smoker needs - but that really depends on how much nicotine that 2 pack a day smoker really inhaled off the analog vs the amount that just burned up in the air. Many others report that the longer they vape the less nicotine they seem to need from the amount they needed when they started.

You could be vaping more nicotine than you used to with each session and raising your blood level up higher than your body likes. Some people find they vape much more than they smoked... people that were never chain smokers find they like to chain vape etc. In that case they are taking in more nicotine over the day then they did when smoking and that can be like increasing the mgs of the juice used over a shorter session. You might want to consider trying juice with lower nicotine and see if that helps.

Getting juice on lips or hands that can get swallowed - does not take much to cause gastric distress - can cause all those symptoms.

Vaping habits also change and move away from the habits you had with smoking. Many new smokers have gastric problems until they learn not to swallow smoke, and some vapers can get where they tend to swallow the 'vape' as its not as harsh as s smoke and their bodies forget that they cannot swallow. This too can cause irritation.

Of course, you also have to consider that after 7 months your issues may just have nothing to do with vaping at all. Its not wrong that people consider the newest/latest/last thing they did for the cause of problems when they develop but sometimes its just coincidence. Just because it did not happen when you were smoking and has since vaping may be that it would have happened anyway even if you never picked up a PV, and/or that the gastric symptoms have nothing to do with the bladder symptoms and both have different causes. The symptoms you list are ones that I had badly prior to starting vaping and had nothing to do with either. Of course if they had started after I started vaping instead of before I would have thought 'vaping' first too :)

If you suspect any of your problems are related to what you are vaping or vaping at all then the best thing to do, other then discussing it with a doctor, is to eliminate anything you suspect that could be offending your system. If you think it all started after changing to a different flavor, you might think about changing back or avoiding the new juice altogether and seeing if that makes the symptoms go away. Lowering the nic level you are exposing the body too or shorting the vape sessions to see if that causes some relief can also put you on the road of investigation. If you think that you might not get along as well with PG in your vape, try a PG/VG 50/50 mix or an all VG juice.

Although most e-juice - at least those without a preservative usually come with about a year of shelf life if you worry that its due to older juice you might consider just staying away from juice thats been around awhile and getting fresh juices.
