gauge for rm2 and rm3?

I've been happily vaping along with some 29ga kanthal and have yet to try anything else. I pretty much haven't changed anything from using the random ~1.8mm screw on my desk to wrap my coils with.

I'm starting to feel adventurous (read: bored),

What's the thickest gauge that fits through the posts on an RM2? and an RM3?

What's the thickest gauge I can twist and still fit through the holes in the RM2 posts?

And, different topic: Is there a video or a photo tutorial on how to tear down and rebuild an RM3? I thought I remembered seeing something like that a while back, but search is yielding me non-useful results. -- My outside posts have become somewhat loose and they turn when I tighten down my screws. I'd like to fix that. .... I picked up a second RM3 to serve me while I do it in case I mess it up.

rm2 has nice broad inlets, i've used triple twisted 32g

rm3 is smaller inlets, 27g duals will pretty much see it out

26g works, but not twisted. With 24g - you're running into some issues and if you vape microcoils, then they're starting to get too long to fit in there.

I use 26g for almost everything i use now. It's not as springy as higher gauges, so it stays where you put it, and you can clean it without wrecking it.

26g in the RM2, no problem. 28g is prolly the functional size limit for the RM3.

I too am a big fan of the 26g for the reasons ST stated. I've never had any problems with it on my RM2s. I don't have a RM3 so Idk anything about it.

26g fits in a RM3 no problem with room to spare if ran single coil. Never tried a 24 single in mine though.

Do a YT search for the A6 atty (RM3) and you should find some build videos.

I run dual coils on both my RM3's with 28 gauge.

I just did a 26g, 5 wrap on a 2mm rod on my RM2 and damn....I am loving it! Is your air hole drilled out or is it stock? Mine is drilled out to 3/32 and it chucks the vapor!

26g 6 wrap single coil at .8 ohms with 1/16 airhole on the RM3 = perfection.
