I do like my mini nautilus tanks and also the MOW's, but I'm absolutely fed up of other gurgling and leaking tanks! Already binned the 30S's, about to do the same with an Aspire K1, but do still have some mini Unitanks and two mini PT2's. The mPT2's aren't too bad, but the mini Unitanks are a pain ..too much air in the draw and they gurgle/leak a lot of the time.
So, I'm keen to hear about the PT3 ...are the 3's good?

I have one standard pt3 and several minis. I've refitted them all with aerotank bases and love the result. Also, I pull the stock wicks and rewick all of the heads with cotton. Much more flavor that way.
Also have a cpl. nautilus minis and like those.
Haven't tried the K1s, but enjoy using ET-S glass tanks. Very good flavor and more capacity than either the Kanger minis, or the K1.

Maybe a silly question but when I pull the flavor wick and regular wick from a stock pt2 mini, can I use cotton? I'm trying not to just throw them out!

I have never tried to re-wick a factory coil, but I suppose it might work. I would suggest just rebuilding with a fresh coil and wick. I build mine with a 2mm coil, so it's quite a bit larger than the factory coils. It makes wicking a lot easier.

This thread has a lot of info on PT rebuilding:

And when Meg sees this she'll drop her stash of top secret PT rebuilding tips on you. ;)

Yes, you can. Just be sure to dry burn the coil clean before rewicking and be careful pulling the old wick, or you could pull the coil apart if the wick is sticking to it.
I always soak the heads in hot to boiling water to "melt" some of the gunk before pulling the used wick.
You can do the same thing with the dual coil heads.

Chili don't throw them out!!! Send them to me and I'll re-build them for you! (If you feel bad about this I do accept a donation of kanthal wire 29 gauge but this isn't mandatory, I just want everyone to experience how amazing a rebuilt PT head really is :) )

I really wanted one of these and had intended to purchase one when I get paid this week. Then on Thursday I find out from a certified letter that my adopted son hadn't been making the house payments like he promised to do and I'm in foreclosure. No purchases of any for right now. I think I need to find a place to live first. :(

ARGH! Prayers coming your way Lynn. :( I got a spare bedroom if you want to make a cameo in Omaha. XOXO
