I got my pre order that I made trusting on GeekVape quality reputation and it is an incredible disappointment.

Definitely a leaker. I noticed it leaks more if I open the liquid holes by turning it counter clockwise since it looses the pre made coil bed. Either way it still leaks over night but not as bad. The hit is really strong using it at a mid watt setting from the recommended wattage. Both included coils setup are not good for flavor chasing from the box, specially the dual Kanthal. I will try changing the cotton and test it out. Will post some time later.

Omg join the club of disappointed, unfortunately the count is rising and it's not over yet, like many of us my friend you purchased yourself one hell of a piece of crap,I ended up changing out the dual fused Clapton coils as they are just too hot, when you place your cotton do not fiddle with it too much as it will end up packing the cotton and it will not work good,I've mine for about 2 weeks now and am barely able to get to work half ... decent,I wish you luck and patience ;-)

Hello all.
I have been using Eagle tank for just about a week now.
So far have used dual fused capton coil.
Have not rewicked or rebuild or messed with in any way other than priming it for first use.
It came with then tank as well as the second single coil (whatever wire it is..ss I think. Have not used it)
My tank has not leaked at all so far. None...truly!
She is wicking like a champ too no dry hits even at 100w, somewhat chain vaping, full juice flow open of course.
I only have max vg juice.
It is top airflow version. Though I do not seem to care much for it but still not bad to have if you are rocking it at 100w.
Coil was a bit off on the ohm reader from what is advertised but alot of coils are that I have gone through from kanger to horizon etc..
So far I'm loving it will update once I use other coil set ups.
Ps
If your leaking I would say rewick it.

Well my friend you are diffinitly one of the lucky ones,if I were you I'd buy a lotto ticket lol,I have rewicked both of mine many many times and leaking issues is not my problem but getting a smooth vape sure is,I have tried every wicking technique I can think of,fluffing out my cotton,I tried kendo gold, cotton bacon v2.0, ko gen do pads, native wicks, nothing works and I mean nothing,so kudos to you for succeeding ;-)

I started to have contact issues with the single coil and the dual coil is almost impossible to wick without leakage.
No more Geekvape products for me - they've done me out of money and I'm voting with my feet.

On an unrelated note, I bought a Wotofo Conqueror a couple of days back - it's my favorite RTA of the year.

I used 3 different double fused clapton coils and a single SS coil.
So far fused claptons no leaks at all out of any of them. No leaking of my tank at all from nowhere.
Vaping these at 90-100w.
Single SS cool vaped at 460 degrees at 50w had a tiny spec of leaking when tilted horizontally I don't think I was ever getting it hot enough to 460 degrees and it was over wicking but nothing to stress over.
Vaping single SS just in power mode at 60w never any leaks.
So far every coil I had that came with the tank and others that I bought performed just fine. I have not rewicked any yet will update when I do.
Had tank for almost 2.5 weeks now.
I think if you leaking ur not vaping it high enough power maybe? Just a thought.

Beyond the Grave
Thought the Eagle was a unique concept, so I created this thread. Sorry to hear
about the issues some are experiencing and the accompanying disappointment.

Has anyone with leak problems tried swapping out their Eagle's o-rings with some of
the extras included?.

In any event, here's a no BS review of my Geekvape Eagle tank and a couple of extra coil packs
I ordered.

Received the Eagle this past Monday, so I've put it through the paces for a few days.

Tested with:

Mod: RX200 (Doesn't fit on my Eleaf Pico unfortunately.)
E-Juice: DIY 70vg/30pg

Tank Ordered: Geekvape Eagle NON Top Airflow - Stainless Steel

My Griffin 25 has the Top Airflow feature and I find it kind of useless.

Included Coils:

HBC-S03 - SSL Staggered Fused Clapton - 0.2ohm (0.22ohm reading on RX200)
HBC-D04 - Kanthal A1 Fused Clapton (Duo) - 0.2ohm (0.17ohm reading on RX200)

Note: Inner diameter of coils is 3mm

Extra coil packs ordered: I prefer single coil set-ups and wanted TC capability

HBC-S05 - Closed Clapton 0.15ohm (0.17ohm reading on RX200)

HBC-S06 - Flat Clapton (0.16ohm reading on RX200)

Build Quality:

Tank

- Solid/No issues. Basically the same as my Griffin 25.

Pre-made Coils

- Solid, not flimsy and no loose parts. As good as or better quality than a Subtank Mini RBA
- Coils/Wick could be replaced over and over again. Use the proper Allen Key and there
shouldn't be any issues.
- No machine oil or bad odors except the remnant stench of the rubber foam it was packed in
- Coils themselves appear well made. No major adjustments in spacing were required.

Before I used the tank and coils; I wiped down the exterior of the coils with paper towel/water and washed
the disassembled tank with dish soap and used a Q-Tip as a cleaning brush. I should point out that the large
o-rings were stuck to the glass and almost lost them because they are clear silicone.

Set-up before use:

- Used the funky tool that came with my Griffin 25 to tighten up the coil wire post connections a tad bit.
Would be nice if Geekvape also included one with this kit, but I guess they skipped it since it isn't
a dedicated RTA.

- Coil/Wicks: Wick is fairly thick, so it required 4 drops of juice on top of each coil and 4 drops of juice at
each end of the wicks to ensure full saturation.

- Filling: Closed off the afc and juice holes. Filled at a 45 degree angle. After re-attaching the cap, I turned the tank upside down, opened up the juice holes/afc then turned the tank upright.

I want to point out that the only leaks I have experienced were a couple of drops when I let the juice level reach
the top of the juice hole openings otherwise zero leaking experienced!.

Performance:

HBC-S03 - SSL Staggered Fused Clapton - 0.2ohm (0.22ohm reading on RX200)

- Started at 15w to work in the coil/wick for 5 minutes or so. If you are new to vaping, don't start out
at 40-70w.
- After break-in period: Wismec RX200 Mod (TC Mode 450f/32w) (Wattage Mode 23.5w). Vape was smooth
and warm at those settings. I prefer lukewarm vapor, so I didn't bother going up to the wattage listings on the coil.
- The only off taste experienced was with the pre-installed cotton wick that vanished after
the first tank of juice. Experienced less cotton break-in taste when I did a re-wick with Muji cotton.
- Overall Flavor is good/middle of the road
- No dry hits experienced with the thick pre-installed cotton coil wick
- No ohm fluctuations

HBC-D04 - Kanthal A1 Fused Clapton (Duo) - 0.2ohm (0.17ohm reading on RX200)

- Started at 25-30w to work in the coil/wick for 5 minutes or so.
- After break-in period: Wismec RX200 Mod (Wattage Mode 38-40w). Vape was smooth and warm at those settings. Above 40w and the vapor was too hot for my liking. "To each their own".
- The only off taste experienced was with the pre-installed cotton wick that vanished after the first tank of juice. Experienced less cotton break-in taste when I did a re-wick with Muji cotton.
- Overall Flavor is good/middle of the road
- No dry hits experienced with the thick pre-installed cotton coil wick
- No ohm fluctuations, but there was a settling period. Ohm reading stabilized after some use.
I don't think it was the coil module, more than likely the funky coil wire configuration/design.

full kit front coils.JPG

HBC-S05 - Closed Clapton 0.15ohm (0.17ohm reading on RX200)

HBC-S06 - Flat Clapton (0.16ohm reading on RX200)

- Same settings and experience as with the HBC-S03 SSL Staggered Fused Clapton Coil -

After Re-Wicking with Muji Cotton

Wick Measurements: L 30mm and W 4mm (Guesstimate L 1" and W 1/8")

- Re-wicking is simple and easy.
- I tried using less cotton and then an amount similar to the original. Performance was
actually a little better for me with thicker wicking. Go figure!.
- No major flavor difference except the initial cotton taste break-in period was shorter

After Re-coiling/Re-Wicking

I only re-coiled the single HBC-S03 coil module. The dual-coil can be done fairly easily with a little
effort and patience. Save your old dual coils to use as guides.

Clapton Wire - 0.6ohm (Youde/UD 26AWG and 32AWG Kanthal A1)

Vaping this configuration as I write this

- Wire is not as thick as used in the original coil, but performance is similar.
- Less wattage required than used with the original HBC-S03 coil module to achieve the
vapor temp I prefer.
- No ohm fluctuations

Single coil Clapton top view recoil and wick.JPG

Standard Wire - 0.6ohm (Youde/UD 26AWG Kanthal A1)

Thinner wire coil works and can be secured, but not recommended!.

Maybe wider spacing would help, but I'm not going to bother with it right now.

- Dry hits all over the place!. Tried thin and thick wicking, but nothing helped.
- Couldn't go over 10.5w. Poor vapor and burnt taste.
- Thin wire is a no go for me with this tank. 22/24awg, Clapton, Twisted and all other
thicker vape wire should be fine.
- No ohm fluctuations

Final thoughts:

Based on some of the complaints I've read in this thread, I was expecting the worse. Fortunately
and to my relief, I've encountered non of the negative issues mention. I hope some of the tips
listed in this review will help some of you sort out your issues.

Pros:

- Tank and coils I received are well-built without any noticeable defects
- 6.2ml juice capacity (Will check it's actual capacity when I get around to it)
- I prefer simple Clapton or 24awg wire, but there's 20 or so different coils available
for those who like to experiment.
- Probably won't be a pro for others, but the Eagle in single coil config is less airy
than my Griffin 25 with a similar coil config.

Cons:

- Self replaced 26awg A1 wire single coil performance for me was awful!. The Eagle works well
with thicker wire.
- Convoluted but not overly burdensome refilling method required to avoid afc leakage. I should point
out that the same filling method is required with my Smok TFV4 tanks and some of the other top-fill
tanks out there.

I'll probably keep my Griffin 25 on the shelf and will be using the Eagle from now on due it's smoother
draw and slightly tighter airflow.

If I come up with more Pros or Cons, I'll post them in this thread.

That's all folks!

Yeah, get used to it. ;-) Pretty much par for the course in my experience with this style of tank. I would love to know the secret of people who claim it doesn't leak; or maybe people just have different tolerances of leaking. God knows I've tried everything. I love the function of the tank though; the velocity style deck, the clouds, the flavor, the airflow. I've had a little better success with Vaporesso variants but that leaks too. I just have had it with the incessant leaking. My skin, mods, furniture, car and clothes hate me. :)
Animus,

When I 1st got my Geek Vape Eagle, it will leak also, it leaks a lot not just a few drops but almost 1/2 a tank when I put it on the table but finally I got a solution for my eagle leaking issue. It's just a faulty factory pre-installed O ring that makes the tank vacuum leaks, I've uploaded a picture as well which factory O ring that was the culprit.

Hope this helps.....
