The battery indicator on the Legend is linear, small and has limited detail. 50% will have a +/- margin. The actual cut off voltage with the new firmware in unknown. This needs to be determined first then compared to the battery indicator allowing for a small +/- margin of error given the limitation of the graphical interface before making such bold claims.
I agree with you and haven't made any claims, yet, that was someone else's statement. I also agree with a margin for error however, I do not think that the battery bar showing exactly half should equate to the 3.2V my meter showed

I'm going to wait to see what GeekVape says when they reply before coming to any conclusions. Maybe something on my mod was corrupted when I did the upgrade and it's a one off?

Why doesn't anybody know when the new firmware gives up the ghost? That is so frickin easy to test. I'd do it myself but I never managed to get a dozen USB cables to fit into my USB ports (Including 2 Geek vape cables). Hell I just tested a Dovpo Topside the other day and it was 3.23v.

I don’t know why no one has tested the cut off voltage of the Legend. Is knowing this a requirement in order to vape? I am not the one who is experiencing the problem, therefore knowing the cut off voltage is not a requirement for me. Perhaps you can direct your statement at the user who is experiencing this issue.

As for your troubles with the USB and the Legend…I have no problems at all and not even using the cable that came packaged with the device. Perhaps your troubles are elsewhere

You're the one you said nobody tested it. Is it a requirement? Well inquiring minds would definitely want to know. Most reviewers tells you how far you can drain the batteries before it refuses to fire. So even they care.

Yeah I know. I use microUSB all of the time in many devices and only have a problem with Geek Vape Aegis and Legend. I can get the Aegis 100W to work if I hold and press my USB cables down the whole time while updating. But that never worked with the Legend. I have over 60 microUSB cables and I have no problems grinding the insulation away on one so it fits deeper and that looks like it should fix it for me. But to be honest, I rather pull these boards out and replace them with decent boards that doesn't have all of the problems. Sure I'll loose the IP67 rating, but at least it would work right.

I said the cut off voltage of the newest firmware is unknown – meaning unknown to me, the user having the problem, and others who have tried to assist in another thread the user opened on the same topic. If this unit with the new firmware was reviewed by those who actually test for voltage cut off, then why don’t you do something constructive and find out instead of complaining why no one knows or gloating about how easy it is to find out.

60 USB cables? That pretty impressive. Did you grind all 60? Do you think that because I am not experiencing issues with the Legend is due to the fact I only used 1 USB cable? Should I try another 59….would that display all the issues you are having with the product?

Kind of typical, hard to have a Legend thread without negative comments from him.

Well, if you are ever in Toronto I may take you up on that offer. Be forewarned….I like my beer!

There is no perfect trouble free device as proven by the many who seek support within these forums. What is sad is some feel the need to go off topic and inject criticism and negativity about certain products simply because the product does not fit their needs – especially when the thread is about trying to assist others. It is perfectly acceptable that the Legend, in this case, does not fit everyone’s needs. However, one particular user, in this case, can not accept that there are many, many, MANY satisfied Legend users. And if I was a betting man, I’d bet they don’t need 60 USB cables to perform a simple FW update.

Speaking of…have you drained the batteries to the Legend’s cut off?

I agree and yes, I finally hit the cut off and my meter reads 3.18V.

I own 2 and have really enjoyed them. This adventure after upgrading has been annoying, but like I said earlier, I'll wait for GeekVape to reply

You have the same problem with both devices or just the one? Have you fully drained the batteries as per the devices cut off and then full charged?

As far as I know, a Geekvape rep only frequents these threads – they are not part of tech support and would most likely direct you to email the support team. You can find the address within this thread.

Naw... I bought 60 MyBlu for a buck apiece and they came with perfectly fine microUSB cables (data ready) plus my dozen or so other microUSB cables.

I have a serious concern here. I finally caved in and upgraded my newest Legend that I ordered directly from Geekvape 6 weeks ago. The main reason I did the upgrade was the battery life improvement. After the upgrade, I was impressed that for the entire rest of the day I had only used half of my batteries when before I would've had to change them. I took the batteries out with them still showing 50% on the Legend and put them in my Nitcore charger. I was very surprised to see that the charger indicated that the batteries had been fully discharged!! I put the batteries in another brand of mod and they also showed as fully drained. I DO NOT overstress my batteries, now my Legend is lying to me about the accuracy of my battery life. What is going on GeekVape?? I recommend this device to everyone, now I experience this?

Please take some pictures for the battery display and send them to support@geekvape.com. Our support team will help you to solve the problem.

Hello I wanted to buy aegis legend 200w but I heard some issues with battery life draining down very fast, is this problem remains even after the update? Thank you.
Firmware update takes care of the battery issue, very pleased with the battery life on my Legends.

Hey, just signed up to the forum to get a quick answer on this. I just bought the Legend and am about to use the Aero Mesh tank that came with it. I'm just wondering what the correct settings would be for the 0.20 ohm Mesh coil? I prefer to use TC mode and typically set the temperature to about 290 degrees C but as the coil itself appears to be Kanthal which doesn't have a preset (I usually use Stainless Steel coils), I assume I have to set this one to TCR mode so my question really is what number to set this to? I'll be using the midway point in terms of wattage and the coil does say it works best between 60-80 watts so I'll go for 70 there. So yea, I just need to know the best TCR setting for this coil please? Thanks folks

You can't use TC with kanthal coils.
