They are anti-oxidant compounds for electrical connections.Guys have been using Noalox since the Reos mods days,he even included a little baggie of it when you bought a mod from him.I was having arcing issues with my Athena, and it would stop firing,so I put a little noalox on the contact and it fixed the issue. It does need to be reapplied maybe once a week, but a tiny little dap on a toothpick is all you need. You can get Noalox at Home Depot in the electrical section and maybe Loews or small hardware stores.Deoxit gold is better, but does cost more.I know you can get Deoxit gold on Ebay and Amazon, but I haven't been able to find it at any of the big lumber yards or hardware stores. You just put a little dab on the positive contact where it touches the 510 connection.
I started with Noalox but found the No-Ox-Id prevented arching/pitting better than Noalox. Thanks for the info. Aside from price, how is this different than the Deoxit?
That's how I started using it also.I'm going to get some deoxit gold one of these days. The reason I have Noalox is when I bought a Reo mini second hand,I needed something right away and noalox was available locally.
When using either - (warning, cliche ahead) - a little goes a long way.
That should keep you stocked in electrical conditioner for life...I've got some deoxit gold and no-ox-id on the way. Many thanks for all the advice!

I use a toothpick to sparing apply the no-ox-id.
I'll check to be sure here in a few minutes, but i think the Sjmy bottles will fit. They are silicone, but not stupid soft like most of them, they are the only silicone bottle i can really say i like, they are thicker than the others,so they have a bit more firmness to them.any recommendations for replacement bottles? the rigid one is way to stiff IMO and the silicone bottle is so soft that I think a hard stare will cause it to collapse. pardon my ignorance but I'm not sure what to look for as far as specs and what will be compatible.
You rock!Ok.i can confirm the Sjmy bottles will fit if you want silicone, but not as soft as the stock bottle,or if you want a regular bottle that is softer than stock, the mod maker bottles will fit as well.
weird, i had no issues with my rda in the athena kit. have you tried swapping out the 510 and making sure everything like the positive and negative post are tight?Mine came but so far, I am unable to get the supplied atty to read on the coil tester, or fire on any other device. However, all my other bottom feeder attys work on the new devive. Any ideas? I like the mod enough to keep it, but would like to try out its atty.
