Anyone tried the Zeus Dual yet? If so, curious if anyone has tried it in single coil and how it performed?

Hoping mine will be delivered today. Once I get them I am going to try them in single coil mode so will report back once I have one up and running.

:)

I ordered a single coil Zeus last week in black to complete my collection. Had my gunmetal and SS finish already, just wanted a black to go with a few other mods I have.

Opened the package yesterday to find a black duel coil Zeus instead. Would probably have been excited if I were into duel coil setups. Mine will go into the vape closet with my Bravo and a few other duels I bought with the intention of trying one day. Not going to bother returning it or anything, I will use it at some point. I did watch some videos on the new tank though when I saw what was in the package, lol.

Does anyone see a benefit to using this is single coil config over the original Zeus, or just that it has the flexibility of doing both?

Mike Vapes video says he thinks 2.5mm coils are perfect in duel config, as far as having the right amount of cotton in the channel. Not sure if a single 3mm coil would be big enough, possibly better using a 3.5mm coil (or larger) in single mode?

Would be interested in hearing other folks feedback. I may start playing with it over the next weekend or two, kind of busy right now and don't have time to be tweaking things.

for me I get enough flavor and vapor production from a single coil. plus I go through less juice and my battery life is better. YMMV
Agree 100%. That's exactly why I use single coil devices for the most part. I am sometimes shocked how much vapor production I can get from a single coil atty, even just simple round wire. I'm starting to find exotic coils are overrated for me at least. Been enjoying simple round wire and twisted builds lately. I still use the exotic coils, but been going simple lately, even with single coils.

I picked up a few duel coil attys for the vape closet in case of FDA crap and may want to try them in the future. So I will hang on to the new Zeus. There are other single/duel coil devices (VV Pyro) that I really enjoy in single coil config, maybe this is the same way.

I'm actually intrigued to see what others think as well with this in single coil config. Seeing how the build deck is different (not having to twist your coil), I might actually prefer building on this. Just kind of an OCD thing with the single coil Zeus, haha.

Now I need to order a black single coil still.

Got the Zeus Dual in yesterday. Works wonderfully. I think the flavor improvement over the single coil version is well worth it. Also, the juice well is larger and it is so much easier to wick. Getting the legs the right length on the postless deck took a couple of trims to get right. I put two 3.5mm coils on and thinned the tails out just a little. The juice flow is excellent on this new Zeus Dual. Wicks stay very saturated, but no flooding. I tested chain vaping and it kept up no problem. 0.21 at 55 watts was a nice warm vape with plenty of vapor production.

Why you would buy a dual coil Zeus just to turn it into a single coil is beyond me. But to each their own.

Options are nice. :D

I've got a few dual coilers, but they are in the FDA vape closet. In case I decide to try them one day, at least I'll have them.

OTOH, having a device that does both options WELL is a good find for me. For example, the VV Pyro, I built as a duel the first time, just to try it. Since then, it's only been built as a single coiler. I think it works just as well with a single coil. But I have the option to build it either way if I ever get the itch.

So it would be nice to get feedback that it works well as a single coiler even though it's primary purpose is as a duel coiler.

Thanks for sharing your thoughts on the new Zeus.

As for why use it in single coil I think the increased capacity is a big selling point. For a single coil atty the original Zeus really burned through juice and IMO the tank wasn't big enough. For less than I spent on an aftermarket bubble tank for the original I can get a brand new atty with increased capacity.

No, I do understand if you prefer a single coil ... like I said, everyone has their own preferences. And increased tank size/capacity is good no matter what configuration you choose to use.

I just found that when using the single coil original version and a top airflow system (no matter what they implied with the perforated "side" airflow) it was lacking in flavor. So adding the second coil, and the better airflow configuration seems to have helped the flavor on this new one. It may work better than the original in single coil mode too. I think the juice flow delivery is definitely better than the original. It looks like the gap for feeding to the well is slightly wider and the well is a bit deeper than the original also.

I'm curious what coil grub screws everyone has.......
Myself and 2 friends purchased authentic Zeus RTA's and we each have different screws and included tool.
Mine came with standard (flat blade) screws, another had phillips, and another had hex............
Strange?!?

Also, does anyone have the Joyetech Espion Solo and the Zeus?

These are my first posts back here in about 2 1/2 years.......... WooHoo!

I only have one Zeus, got it last week. It has flathead screws, same as reviewers noted. Are you sure it’s an original, where did you buy it from?
