Is it safe to ignite the residue on the coil while dry burning? I like being able to let the residue burn off, then rinse out what remains on the coil with cold water to make the coil fresh again, but I don't want to damage the $30 tank while restoring a 3 cent coil (thanks, VapeFly). I'm particularly interested in whether igniting the residue and letting it burn off (or glowing the coil really hard, for that matter) can damage the insulator.

I pulse my coils all the time but do just that....pulse. You don't have to get it red hot to burn off the crude. Just like you I dry burn and rinse and than dry burn one last time. I also have a can of air to dry the deck once everything is cleaned. Don't use the air on a glowing coil though or you will really dry burn you coil. Your tank will be fine.

Thanks for your input. To clarify, are you saying the tank will be fine if I only pulse the coil, or do you think letting the residue ignite and burn off will also work?

I pulse and the residue burns off. I try not to fire any coil until it turns red hot as it's really not designed for that type of temperature when used for vaping. Pulse and blow off the burnt residue a couple times, no need to scorch the coil.

I guess one can not have a new atomizer without having a new mod to complement it. Cylon on it's way. I think the gunmetal Zeus and black Cylon are going to look and work excellent together.

I recently ordered a Cylon too but it is for wearing my Aromamizer Plus (30mm) I run my Zeus on a Miniken.
I've got my silver Zeus on my silver Paranormal at the moment which looks pretty sweet. I have also used it on my black Cylon, and it looks spiffy there as well. I've thought about ordering the Tarnish Cylon because it is such a solid mod for the money, and I'd have no trouble telling which was which.

Got the Zeus Dual in yesterday. Works wonderfully. I think the flavor improvement over the single coil version is well worth it. Also, the juice well is larger and it is so much easier to wick. Getting the legs the right length on the postless deck took a couple of trims to get right. I put two 3.5mm coils on and thinned the tails out just a little. The juice flow is excellent on this new Zeus Dual. Wicks stay very saturated, but no flooding. I tested chain vaping and it kept up no problem. 0.21 at 55 watts was a nice warm vape with plenty of vapor production.

Why you would buy a dual coil Zeus just to turn it into a single coil is beyond me. But to each their own.
Sup bud, long time no news from you, ordered my Zeus dual today, looking forward to it,curious how it will compare to the Themis !!

    Somewhere between here and there
I haven't tried any of the bubble tanks so sorry but I can't help on that.

I finally got the zeus dual cleaned last night and got rid of the funky taste. Yesterday I was putting in an order at FT and decided to go ahead and get a Horus to try.

Ahhhh Mr. Franck! How are ya? I haven't been atty-chasen for a bit. Happy with 3 or 4 relatively "new" purchases and not in any hurry to get too much more...or to do it slower. I am enjoying the Zeus Dual, although I do have better attys for flavor, it is much better than the original Zues to me.

Let me know what your thoughts are on the Z-Dual.
