I bought the cheapo coils from Gear best since I have no clue on how to build. Don't even know which ones I'll use.

Demon Killer 316L Flame 6-in-1 Coil Box -$6.24 Online Shopping| GearBest.com

Those packs are really great way to experiment and get an idea about which coils you like. From my experience they are often made with pretty cheap wire and don't last long but at those prices who cares?
If you are interested in building there are a lot of great resources out there to help you get started. I remember thinking that I would never be one of those people who twisted wire around drill bits but once I saw some vids about how easy it can be I decided to give it a shot and I discovered that I love it. I recently ran across an article that discusses getting started and it contains several great vids for beginners. Coil building 101: The best tips and tricks to get you started - Vaping360
Btw, I have pretty decent eyesight (I wear readers but no prescription) but I discovered quickly that I needed a boost when building. I bought a cheap magnifying glass headset on amazon and it made a HUGE difference.

Better late than never heart. If it’s any consolation. I’m gonna be even later since mine hasn’t even made it out of China yet. I should have cancelled mine and reordered. Oh well maybe by New Years.

OK... loving the 24Ga! TC, ~3.1MM 8 wrap (.41ohm) with a DNA75 using the default DNA75 SS316L TFR settings. 26Ga with a high coil was awesome, 24Ga is even better on flavor with the higher "heat flux" ... a little popping at initial fill, but smoothed out very nicely. I typically take long 6-8 second draws with TC, it's absolutely fantastic. Saturated, cloudy, flavorful vape.

I am just looking into TC. Using a SMOK Procolor I have to set Watts, TCR, and temp. Currently I am trying it out at 35w, 92 tcr, and 425 degrees. But it is definitely not as flavorful as just running power mode.

Any advice from TC people?

    Somewhere between here and there
I'm done buying tanks for a while. I pre-ordered a zeus on a whim one day and had forgotten about it since I didn't receive it until over a month later. I ordered a second one and really liked it so was glad to receive the original one I ordered. I am very happy with the flavor and no leaking of this tank and honestly have spent way too much money the past several months trying all of these new tanks coming out. I'm going to stick with the zeus.

Personally, I get more flavor the hotter the vape is. I run TC on a DNA device, with ~50 watts set to 480 degrees (tho it usually never gets quite that high).

425 degrees is kind of low (to me), so that may explain it. I’d try bumping it up. Even at 480 degrees, as long as my wicks are slightly wet, I never get a dry hit even with long pulls. TC is finicky tho, so it could be a multitude of things. But I would try upping the temp.

There’s also the caveat of some mods handle tc better than others.

Definitely agree. I was going to say just that, but I didn’t want to get anyone all riled up about DNA vs. Smok, etc. :pop:
    @Petabread

Thank you. I agree with more flavor the warmer it is. Are you running a single coil at 50w?
Normally, on every other tank, yes. But I cannot with the Zeus. 50 watts is too much to keep up with wicking, it must be the bends in the wicks that kink the juice flow a bit (using a triplecore fused clapton, at 0.25 ohm.) 40 watts works just fine tho.

I really hope on the inevitable Zeus V2, geekvape gets rid of those bends in the wicks. It wicks fine, but I could never crank this up to 60+ watts like on most tanks. Great tank for what it is tho. Flavor is superb.

Hey folks! Got myself a Zeus last week after watching some reviews of it. Was interested in the no leaking feature and it just looks cool. :thumb:

Been really surprised how hard it's been to build for me. I've probably re-wicked it 10 times since last week trying to stop it from dry hitting. Reading a lot of your comments about thinning the wick seems to have helped though. I threw a new wick on this morning, combed it out and cut them at an angle to get them even thinner. So far it's not dry hitting so keep your fingers crossed for me haha.

In all the research, SMOK was what we could afford to get started. I mean, $50 + free shipping for the kit, + free juice. Now that I have gotten into it, I can't wait to get an upgrade. But that will have to be further down the line.

@Reeversong No rush, pal. It’s not gunna be magical or anything. You’re good with what you got until it’s time. Maybe during a crazy sale or something, you can grab one. But DNAs etc aren’t life changing by any means. They are, however, extraordinarily reliable (especially DNA 250s).

If you haven't already I encourage you to watch DJLsb's review/tutorial on the Zeus. I followed what he did and haven't had any issues with dry hits. Good luck

Legs on my coils. Makes it easier to mount the coil and screwing it down.
