My apologies, was worried I was getting a bit too repetetive with this info in my earlier posts/pics/etc.
3.0ID, 8 wrap 26Ga Temco SS316L spaced in temperature control using a DNA75, 60W hard pre-heat for 1s, 40W normal with TC set at 460 using the default DNA75 SS316L material profile curve.
It’s working well, was trying different coil positions to see if I could tell a difference and ultimately came to the conclusion that the difference is negligible. Flavor is great no matter the placement. I’m building them in the middle, maybe slightly higher than middle.
ETA: Wicking is KGD, slight resistance through the coil, ends raked well with ends barely brushing the bottom of the cap. Thinned/raked wick ends has been the single most important part of building this tank so far for me.
So I have a confusing situation with this tank. I don’t think I’m getting proper ohm reading.
I’m using SS317L, 3mm ID, 8 wraps and it comes out to 0.39 according to my ohm reader.
When I mount it on my DNA 250mod, it shows 0.56 ohm. Same on my Sigelei mod.
But, according to two different ohm calculators, I should be getting 0.39 or 0.47 ohms.
Now when i test my RDA with dual coils, using same ss317l wire, ohm reader and mod, read same ohm correctly.
I checked the Zeus, make sure everything is clean and all screws are tight.
Tested it SS316L wire and seeing same issue.
But, when I was using Kanthal wire, ohm reader and Mod reads ohm correctly: 24ga, 3mm id, 8 wraps.
Could use some input on this.
Thanks.
The problem is, you have no way to test the quality of your SS316L and SS317L wire at home.
The ohm reading with this tank is all over the place.
Took it apart, cleaned it, build new coil and I’m about jump in to a river.
The ohms are jumping as high as 1.21 in TC.
In wattage mode, ohms jump to 0.65.
Put Zeus on my friends Sigelei mod and ohms are solid at 0.41 ohms.
Put my rda on to my dna 250 mod and ohms rock solid at 0.29ohms. Using same wire in Zeus and in rda.
I think DNA250 just doesn’t like Zeus for some reason. Or the mod is faulty.
I just got this today and I have a dumb question: my airflow control ring won’t turn if the topcap is on, I have to take the topcap off to adjust it. Is it supposed to be this way, or is something wrong with mine?

Thanks much for taking the time to do that video, I got it working now.The airflow ring (with the vertical notches) should move freely with stops for full open and full close... resistance (And sealing) for the airflow ring is provided by a single silicon o-ring. If you take the top fill off and open the airflow ring all the way, you should be able to lift directly upwards and remove the airflow ring. If it's too tight and won't move, put a bead of e-liquid around it so that it moves freely before screwing the top cap/fill cap on.
The only reason I can figure out is the 510 connecting port of your DNA250 mod somehow does not match nicely with the Zeus 510 connector.
Is your Zeus tank stands firmly on that DNA250 mod?
or
If you have tighten the Zeus tank very very hard to that mod, may be you should loosen it a bit.
Btw, I own 2 (Coil Mater's and the Pilot Vape's) ohm meters, but I don't really rely on them for accurate ohm reading (I shouldn't have bought them, indeed) it seems to me that the quality of their 510 connecting port is no other than those on my mod, so I really doubt they can provide more accurate ohm reading than any of my mod.
That's really strange... your coils aren't hitting any metal parts inside the tank? Not too high? I've got three of these tanks, and all of them are reading perfectly from the base (I read the deck with build before putting everything all together) and altogether as well. Using a coilmaster build deck/tool, and DNA75 mods ... all reading the same resistance. All verified with steam-engine as well...
ETA: What kind of wire are you using? Are you using it in TC mode and "locking" it before using? If using non-resistance (SS316 or any other TC wire) the wattage will be all over the place ... ?
So good new, bad news.
I’m at a local vape shop right now.
Tested the Zeus on 3 different mods and they all read correct ohm.
Tried 3 different tanks on my DNA250 and the ohm is bouncing all over the place, even with Kanthal, single coil and dual coil.
Sending my DNA mod back. Too bad I prematurely sold my Sigelei box, now I have nothing to vape on.
