No preheat in power mode for dna. However on forum.evolvapor I've seen where some have successfully cheated and got their device to act like there is. It looks like a pain to achieve, and not everyone is successful. Use at your own risk. I do TC, so I have not tried this or read the entire thread, which it looks like most have to do in order to achieve this.
I've loaded and played with that Kanthal profile for Preheat, not worth the time IMHO.

Been running my Zeus with little trouble, however, have an observation and a question. When I fire up my mod (Tugboat dna 75), the first couple of hits are very muted and until the Zeus warms up there isn't a lot of cloud or flavor.

Is there a pre-heat function I can use...I tried to read the DNA 75 manual but I'm struggling. I vape in normal wattage mode at 31.5 watts on a 3.5mm 26/36N80 0.4 ohm coil (bought pre made).
I think what you will find is there too little power for that coil, the first and second hit's are just bringing the coil up to temperature, that's why the third hit is much better.

Does that coil have an N80 core and wrap? Putting the numbers into Steam Engine show it as a 3 wraps which doesn't make sense... 3 wraps on any basic coil doesn't make for a very productive vape IMHO.

The first experiment with the Daedalus Pro by Avidartisan was a decided failure. No doubt, user error but I am not in the mood tonight to keep it up. I will watch a few more YT vids on it and hopefully, the right way to use the thing will become apparent. BTW, what exactly does one do with the clamp? I haven't even seen that used in the videos?

Stay tuned - I think I know what went wrong. It is important, I think, to have the perfect amount of tension on the wrapping wire and I had it too tight, I believe. I will try again on Thursday. Any advice from those who use this is appreciated before my next outing with the Daedalus. I do wish these YT guys knew a little about Greek mythology so that they would correctly pronounce Daedalus.

I will - thanks! It really is a matter of trial and error with the amount of tension on the wrapping wire and I think that is something I will have to learn by doing. Darn - I wanted it to be perfect that first time. LOL

I have the original one & the clamp is for use with the swivels for more complex builds.

Yes, you are right the wrapping wire has to be the right tension, not too tight or loose. I screw in the wrapping wire & gently tug on the wire until I feel the tension is right. Kinda hard to explain, its something you unfortunately have to feel. Like you said watch a few more vids, thats what helped me. Have fun!

No reason, thats the next step.

I am using Eleaf Invoke mod which offers simple and straight the way preheat setting from its menu option.
Eleaf Invoke Preheat.jpg
As of this writing, it is the smallest and lightest dual-18650 mod in the market, damn cheap compare to those DNA mods and most importantly it works. The only weakness of this mod is lack of locking mechanism. BTW, I am planning to get a second Eleaf Invoke this month.:thumb:

You may also consider using mod which is CPS mode capable. Nowadays mods are mostly CPS capable, e.g. Aspire Speeder.

Just set its first few seconds at high watts and use that as preheat, for the remaining seconds of the power curve, set them to your normal vaping watts.:smokie:

I'll count the wraps this evening a report...seems like 5 wraps to me

I've had my Zeus cor a couple weeks now, and am thoroughly enjoying it! Thanks so much to letitia for suggesting this tank in another thread!

I've had no wicking problems either with or without Scottish roll, other than maybe a little spitback with a 3mm coil, rectified by using 3.5mm.

Only issue I've had is i broke the glass within minutes of taking it out of the box. I washed the parts, and suspect I overtightened during reassembly. Does anyone have a link to spare glass for these?

Glad to hear you are enjoying the Zeus. Can be hard to track down glass tubes for newer tanks. Go to GeekVape site and look for the dimensions. While your there use the contact info and ask where you might find a tube. Sometimes another of their products will have the same dimensions.

I’ve found that Fasttech usually will carry spare glass for atties. If it’s a newer product you might have to wait a bit.

Here's the link to Geekvape's U.S. site. This is the "contact us" form but the phone number to the U.S. office is listed there. Give them a call and if there is a replacement available they might be able to tell you where to find it. I needed replacement parts for an Avocado and they were very helpful.

I have the Geekvape Ammit and hated it. What a PITA. It sits in a box, never to be used again. So I was skeptical when Geekvape released the Zeus. Been reading the reviews here and I think I'm going to buy one and give it a go.
Think gb has them on sale. Check vapecrawler.com first.
