Yeah, I tried various coil heights and found I got better flavor from a lower coil, so maybe we are getting some air underneath as well. Im thinking a small piece of foil tape on the outside surface of the cheese grater posts should do to block the holes. The air passing over the tape should keep it relatively cool, just not sure about the adhesive part with proximity to the heat. Wouldn't want to inhale any nasty fumes.

Be careful hildicat you don't know what is in that adhesive and it most likely would produce enough heat to start breaking it down into your vapor. You just took out a good portion of deadly chemicals when you quit smoking.
Agreed. Would be nice to have a little thin piece of peek material that is molded to for those air channels.

Mine delivered this morning and got a good cleaning and Everclear bath. Peta, mine wasn't funky at all but I made sure to clean it up based on your feedback.
The flat head screws were the first to go, I went with hex M2.5 X 4 whic fit nicely. They came with 3 but the 4worked perfect and stopped right at the edge of the opening. I did my normal 2.5mm, spaced 4 wrap SS316 build that came in @ .20Ω. Pretty good vape, flavor is real nice and the draw on the tank is real smooth. I used the 510 DT insert and one of my DT's.
The only challenge with the tank is the top cap is tight, with the washer being brand new I had to use some liquid to get the cap to lock in place. Just an opinion but I wouldn't try to put the cap on while the tank is on the mod, at least until the washer breaks in a little. I can see the rest of the tank components getting over tightened and create problems when you want to take it apart.
I will be picking up one more, it's worth having another one.

I've been eying the Raw since it was released. Not sure if I'll like the form factor. Probably pull the trigger anyway around the holidays. Zeus looks sweet on it.

It's a little heavy but fits nice in the hand. The touch screen has screwed me up a couple times, I upped the wattage and didn't know until I took a drag. Over 100 watts, nothing good was happening for a couple minutes after that hit, but my sinuses were clear and my mustache was full of snot. Glad nobody was around, it probably wasn't a good look.
Got email from FT today. Possible shipping date of November 18th now. They want to know if I want to wait or cancel the order. Hmmmmm.... so far I haven’t heard any rave reviews on it. Couple of negatives on the post less deck and the way the top cap goes on. Somebody convince me that this thing is worth the wait. Lol
