3mm ID Spaced SS316L Triple Core Fused Clapton @ 0.29 ohms. The coil is raised, so that the center of the coil is inline with the top air holes in the post. vaping at 43 watts, this setup for me, the flavor is on par to my Drop rda.View attachment 711317

IMO, Zeus's side air flow works better with shorter coil, i.e. less wraps. I have very good experience using 4mm Flat Clapton (slightly spaced) coil 4-5 wraps (which definitely shorter than the one you have shown) in Zeus.:thumb: (Just to share this finding)

Only recently, my experience with the differences among OBS Nano, Ijoy Exo, Zeus and some other tanks make me think about the relation between direction of air flow VS coil positioning VS coil dimension. It seems the key is to have your air flow covering the whole coil nicely.

But for Zeus tank, one thing remains a mystery, I find a coil made in clockwise works better than if it made in anti-clockwise... can't figure out why?

My Therion came today and I have been playing with it. It will take me a few days to decide if I love it or not. The sticker covering the battery door is not completely smooth and that is one thing that YT reviewers complained about. It isn't quite as comfortable to me as my Minikin V2 to hold but maybe I just need to get used to it.

There is an Escribe for Mac now, so that made it easier to set it up and do the updates. I also put a pretty rainbow theme on the screen because, well, rainbows. :)

Finally got around to changing the screws and coil in Zeus and it's even better. I will say it is begging for a dessert juice tho, little warmer than I like my fruit. Think I'll mix up some of HIC's Sugar Almond Apple Tart (pie) I think it's called.

@PJReid Looking good, love that you're rocking the pink nip on the Zeus! The rainbow is so you, perfect.

AVS 316l 7 wrap 4mm framed staple coil .21Ω. Was afraid if I went with a 6 wrap it would come in too low. Have 9 more, I'll take a wrap off the next one. Fits in the Zeus nicely, but 6 wrap would have been tidier. Great coil, and ramps surprisingly fast. Might try it in tc, don't really care for tc tho. Silver Zeus looks great on the Gaia.

The pink nip looks good on the Therion. That is the shorty because they were out of the regular in pink, so they gave me a free black regular for accepting the shorty. It is really fine. My favorite is the gold - it reflects the rainbow colors in the Crius II tank. I will take a picture if I can get the right light.

What screws did you get for the Zeus? I was thinking of trying some grub screws that I have and see if they fit. I can deal with the ones that it came with but don't love them for sure. I am still trying to figure out the best coil build for me for the Zeus. I will get there. Trial and error is the only way.

I have been making mine counter-clockwise. I will roll clockwise next time. Thanks for the tip. :)

My Daedalus wiremaking set came today. That was a surprise - it sat somewhere in The Netherlands for quite some time. I wasn't prepared so I don't have any wire to play with. I am going to buy some on Amazon and should have it in a couple of days. Wish me luck.

Its beautiful Pam-
I love mine- yes it is different from the minikins feel, but to me very comfortable. Similar to the minikin V1.5 and my Yosta Livepor 160w, it rests nice in the palm of my hand.
I haven't had a chance to download the new screen yet on mine maybe tomorrow - I did set the time and the date.
If in a few days you decide it is not for you- PM me!
My leather decal has no bubbles- maybe a heat gun would smooth them out? Mine has the scaley feel, like my snakeskin boots.

I am going to use it off and on for the next few days and if I decide it isn't for me, you will be the first to know. :) Heat is a great idea for getting the bubbles smoothed out (they aren't bad and probably no one would notice if you weren't examining it as closely as I was.) I will try blowing it with a hair dryer tomorrow and see if that allows me to smooth it out. The cover is just a sticker, so that might very well work.

I ordered two additional battery doors for it. It seems this model is being discontinued and there is conflicting info about whether the doors for other models will actually fit. I figured I would order the ones that definitely fit while I can get them. So, this will be a fully loaded, very customizable mod once those doors get here.

Ah ha! That is why even though I have quite many types of SS316 Clapton, I can't do without Kanthal wire. My next order will be flat Clapton of Kanthal wire.
