I am going to use it off and on for the next few days and if I decide it isn't for me, you will be the first to know. :) Heat is a great idea for getting the bubbles smoothed out (they aren't bad and probably no one would notice if you weren't examining it as closely as I was.) I will try blowing it with a hair dryer tomorrow and see if that allows me to smooth it out. The cover is just a sticker, so that might very well work.

I ordered two additional battery doors for it. It seems this model is being discontinued and there is conflicting info about whether the doors for other models will actually fit. I figured I would order the ones that definitely fit while I can get them. So, this will be a fully loaded, very customizable mod once those doors get here.
Which model are they discontinuing?

I have a hard time enjoying other wires now that I've gotten used to the ss316l. It's the taste, most fruits aren't as good.

To me, both SS and Kanthal wire do not contribute to any flavor in vaping, except when you got a dry hit.

I use Kanthal wire only when I need higher ohm from fewer wraps coil, otherwise I will stick to SS, it works in both power, TC or just any mode you name it... and most importantly, I believe SS is the safest material, particularly when heated to high temperature.

I don't know this for certain but got the impression that the lost vape Therion DNA75C might be discontinued. It sure could be a wrong guess on my part. The 166 is more advanced and there is another on the horizon, or so the rumors go. The 75C is advanced enough for me and even if the mod is no longer sold, the support will continue through Escribe.

How does Zeus perform with a plain old single strand SS316L coil?

I have built 4mm, spaced, 5-6 wraps coil with the below type of wire:
1. Kanthal A1 24g
2. Kanthal A1 26g
3. SS316L 24g
4. SS316L 26g
5. SS316L Flat Clapton (26g*18g+32g)
6. SS 316L Fused Clapton (28g*2+32)
7. SS 316L Stagger Fused Clapton (26g+32g)*2+32g

and have tried them with Zeus, as a result, compare to all my other type of RTA, Zeus always gives me best performance.:thumb:

I am buying my 4th Zeus this month and there are 2 reasons cause me to like this RTA so much:

A. I can have >10 seconds long and gentle draw at 25-35W without getting any dry hit.
- "gentle" means Unlike those strong draw made by many youtube reviewer, I have never purposely intensified the airflow.
-"long" means a single draw is lengthy enough until my lips get slightly-burn feel, yes, a real warm draw. (my Eleaf Invoke mod is the best mod in telling me how long each draw is)

B. Zeus does not require me to position my coil in a specific way nor does it require me to shape my wick in special way in order to achieve the A. above.

    Somewhere between here and there
I assume you have bought 3 different color Zeus, so, which one left?

Actually I didn’t. I had a silver and a gunmetal one. I just bought another silver for a back up.

I will buy another Zeus when and if they release a Rainbow version. Makes sense as there is a Rainbow Blitzen which I thought about preordering but will wait for the reviews. It is a dual coil, but can be used as single. I want to hear what people think of it first.

Have you paid a visit to the Blitzen thread yet? Some useful first impressions posted.

The DNA 75c is newer and more advanced than the DNA 250 (166) chip. A 250w version of the 75c, the DNA 250c, was just released.

Thanks for that info. I am pretty ignorant when it comes to DNA chip mods. Several things recently led me to suspect that Lost Vape was discontinuing the Therion DNA 75c mod, but I have no hard evidence. I just saw tonight Asmodus has partnered with Ultroner to make a stab wood DNA 75c chip mod that is gorgeous. I don't know what the story is with the Therion 75c and there may be no story at all.
