Susan Harwood, who teaches a smoking cessation class at South Lake Hospital and who smoked for more than 20 years, agreed. She said the chemicals used in some e-cigarettes makes them more dangerous that other methods used to help smokers quit.


"We prefer methods that don't have any addictives," said Harwood, who gives her cessation students nicotine patches.
