I can definitely see your point/logic on this.
I think of it this way:

--svoemesto makes their own mod(s), but they produced a P3 threaded connection for their atomizer.

--House of Hybrids (Zen) makes their own mod(s), but they produced a P3 threaded connection for their atomizer.

--ByLeo makes their own mod(s), but they produced a P3 threaded connection for their atomizer.

--Aspire makes their own mod(s), but they produced a P3 threaded connection for their atomizer.

All of these companies are well established, well loved, and have made the choice to offer a P3 connection.
--------
When I realized that, it became clear that making a P3 thread isn't about promoting Provape devices, but rather pushing the industry towards a day when we are not dependent on the mechanically & electrically inferior 510 connection.
It's been tried in the past, but it wasn't pushed hard enough.
But it is worth striving for.

The 510 must be put to rest. Whether it's at the hands of the P3 connection, or some new option.
I cannot agree with you more. The 510 was ok for its time, but was not designed to handle the hardware we have today. The P3 connection is far superior in both design and function. Somehow we need to get modders on board with us and push the industry in that direction. Seriously does anyone want this tiny, weak connection anymore?

I sure do not.

We can think about it, maybe to have it as an option...
I think you'd be surprised at how much support you'd receive for making such a move!
The whole industry is starving for a better connection, and Provape decided to give it a shot...
With some of the biggest names in the industry standing behind them, and creating P3 connectors for their devices, it shows that our industry really IS ready to get over the 510 connection...at least for 22mm+ devices!
I'm sure cigalikes will probably always need the 510.

The real question is, how would provape react if other modders started to incorporate that design into there own mods... If they encourage it then very good of them, but if there going to start attacking other modders for doing so then they're doing nothing good for anyone

I thought Provape was game about the P3 connector going universal. Personally tho I like 510.

If memory serves, I saw a vid with a Provape rep saying that they would share the specs for the P3 connector to anyone that asked.

Provape has indeed made the spec available to anyone wishing to incorporate a P3 connection into their design.
They did not make the P3 threading proprietary.

Awesome response!
To add my 2cents. Coming from technology sector, standardization is a common everyday issues we face. To avoid any bias against a single vendor, first thing the community would do is to rebranding of technology in discussion. Hence, if ProVari agrees to open source their thread spec as something else (ex. 20mm connector), I would think lot more vendors would jump on board.
Beside, I am not sure how current name "P3" could be used industry wide if ProVari has a product with that name and guessing with a trade mark.
Open source movement in vaping community would be an awesome thing to see.

That's a very good point, and I've always struggled with calling it the P3 connection, when trying to promote its use.

Provape needs that feedback, so don't hesitate to give it to them!
I have already drone so, on several occasions.

Soooo, this happened. Guessing it's a warranty type issue? Anyone else?

No worries, even Q did not know it ;)

Sooooo...
Should it be easy to separate?
Should it ever even BE separated?

While we are at it:

I've got a WAEII (DNA30) on the hook, and I'd like some info.

It's a dedicated 18650 mod yes?
I can't help but want an 18490 or even 18350 tube for it...

Can I hybrid my GEMv1 onto this model?
