Hi folks,
I have got a couple of questions regarding clearos:
1.what is the difference of clearos with numbers, like ce4 and ce5? or t3 and t5?
2.I have read in previous posts that I should clean the clearos(esp. evod) before using.Would you please explain this process and clarify for which clearos should it get done?
Many thanks in advance

Ce4 top wick - Stardust type clearomizer - Disposable
Ce5 top wick - Stardust type clearomizer - Servicable

T3 - Kanger Bottom coil Clearomizer - servicable
T5 - Kanger top coil Stardust type - servicable

All clearos/tanks need cleaning/servicing - Except disposable=toss

e-liquid residue builds up on coil and wick depreciating performance, eventually to the point of failure.

Cleaning, there are several methods.
MOSTLY, all I've needed was a rinse in hot water, and then I like to dry them for like a day - but I just did a ProTank, and basically shook it dry, then used it. First few puffs were lame - then it kicked in.
If your clearo has a nasty taste to it - sort of "motor oil" - or you really want to get rid of a flavor before refilling with a different flavor, you can take it apart, soak the parts overnight in vodka, then rinse as usual. The vodka should break down the juice and let it rinse away.

Hopefully, that's all you need for cleaning for now!
If your coils are gunky from thick juice and you want to keep using that coil - search the threads for "Dry burn" perhaps.

Even disposable CE4 can be cleaned 2-4 times before you need to toss them out. I use the same basic procedure for anything form a stardust type to a protank.

Remove the tip (mouthpiece).
Dump the juice if needed.
Rinse 4-5 times in as hot a water as my hands can handle.
Blow through the battery connection to remove as much water as I can.
Let air dry for 30 mins.
Attach to battery.
activate battery for 2 seconds, stop for 5 seconds, reepeat, looing in the end to see if the coil(s) glow orange. When they do, the dry burn is done.
Fill, replace tip, vape.

If you've had a really sweet juice in there that really gunked the coils, you can do 2-3 rinses in vinegar, vodka or, everclear before the water rinse to break the stuff loose.
