Obviously I am reestablishing myself as a vaper to get off analogs. Tried it once before and did great but ran into complications and I went straight back to cigs. I'm a few days in now and first off, in no way shape or form am I doing any of this to save money, lol. I've picked up more heads, tanks, and liquid than I can shake a stick and, mostly just bound and determined to find a few combinations I like in case I encounter some adversity along the way. So, I thought I'd share some general musings and I'm bored
I got an MVP2 thanks to the great 101vapes deal. Great piece, if I hadn't bought a Vamo also, it would be my all-day device with an ego-V as my backup. The iClear 30 it came with is nuts, incredible flavor and consistency.
I also found my goto, all-day-vape in Pink Spot Swagger. Such a robust, bold caramel/hazelnut/vanilla flavor, it is right up my alley. Already re-upped from the original 7ml I bought to try. I've definitely had some misses on liquid though; Zombie Apocalypse just isn't for me, and I tried a few Mt Baker Vapor flavors that would be great for a few drops every now and again but wow are they overpowering. I don't remember exactly how I configured them so it's more likely my fault than anything. For this reason I'm getting into dripping so I can get through the fluid little by little.
Mods - coming from an ego, the MVP2 literally took my breath away. Powerful vape machine, that much is for sure. Very flexible and a good form factor and for the price, it's hard to beat. I also ordered up a Vamo from zainy.net and it is fantastic. It has a better flavor and more consistent vape than the MVP2 so it is my go-to device at home and at work. The Vamo + iClear 30 at 8-9W is a thing of beauty. Unfortunately, what they say about China mods is true. They don't hold up. Just three days in my v/w + button no longer takes any effort to push so if I'm not careful I can up the wattage to a crazy high number without even trying. It is for this reason that I will be buying a ProVari mini once I let this initial run of spend become a memory
I'm sold on the form factor and the unit itself, but $200 isn't what I want to drop right this minute.
Lastly, I've tried a few different heads/tanks. The SmokTech ARO is a great idea but I can only get a good vape on it from my ego. It is so airy on the Vamo and MVP2 it's just not for me. I'll keep them as backup tanks though for the ego, no biggie. The iClear, as stated before, is a monster, I have replacement heads on the way for it now. I am diving into carto tanks also, picked up a SmokTech DCT locking tank (6 ml) and some Boge XL LR laser-slotted cartos to try out that form factor. I have a Pro Tank 1 sitting here, never used, lol. Vivi Novas are pretty good but they tend to be inconsistent for me. One hit is fine, the other has more flavor. Still, they are pretty darned good for the money. I've also fallen in love with the wickless clearomizers, they really make that a viable alternative for "set and forget" vaping, outside of fillups.
So anyway, I'm just happy to be able to converse with fellow vapers here. Everyone has been incredibly nice and supportive and the amount of info here is staggering. I intend to be more active than I was before as I think that will help me stay focused on the end goal. I've already learned how to fix several issues I never bothered to find out last time which ultimately led to my frustration and eventual quitting. So anyway, this novel is just about finished, thanks again for everything and see you around the forums
