Thank you. I'm having trouble yes, but much more enjoyment than trouble. :) I'm hanging with it. I appreciate the instructions, and will definitely check out the new video (thanks for the link) and see what I can do. Of course, this needs to be after kid activities - when I have some quiet time.

I wear progressive lens and do need a much better light to work with these wicks. Thanks to Vicki's first video, I at least know the makeup of the wick and its "hat".

Also, my atty that was drying does work, it had a burned taste and now it is fine (must have pushed down the wick just right).

My husband has a working atty - it is really producing some awesome vaping satisfaction. He has two attys out with burned taste, and may or may not let me at them given my recent blunder!

But all is not lost, and I won't give up as too much is at stake. Health over dollars and time!

Appreciate all the support and help!

I can't get the plate off.

swedishfish try posting over in that thread. I don't have a popped one yet so have not tried, and honestly didn't quite understand the pliers method that was mentioned in post #12, but it seemed successful for many that didn't have access to a dental chisel.

I know some literally grab the needle with pliers and just pull, but his method seemed different....just couldn't grasp what he was saying, and didn't follow up because I would not make practical use of the info just yet.

I THINK he means literally one arm of the pliers on needle one arm of pliers on outside of housing and rocking it back and forth
