Generic battery?

I need some extra batteries, mainly because I am a klutz and have already dropped and ruined two. I will try to be more careful.....

The supersale has a deal on with two "generic" white or black batteries. Are these just as good as any other except not as pretty? I need another charger too, so sounds like this might be my best deal.

I haven't tried the generics, from what I understand they are they don't have the cut off improvements or logos but should otherwise perform the same.
