so,been doing a massive amount of testing, wire guages, mesh, wraps, today, tried 250x250 316 ss with 3/4 wrap 30ga,reading out at about 1.7,i diy my own juices and my vg content is about 65%,i like my wraps to read about 1.6-1.8 ohms, for my mixes i get great amounts of vapor and epic taste from every flavor, but i always seem to get buildup and the wicking just wasnt enough with 325 or 400,so back to today,250 is absolutly epic, flavor ,vapor is just fabulous.just felt like sharing and wanted some feedback :)

If you are vaping vg heavy juice as I am you have a few options for better wicking in your rba's. My juices are 80%vg/20% everything else.

First and best option... move up to 500 mesh. There is/has been a long discussion on 500mesh in the rba's section and the consensus is 500mesh wicks everything better. It has much better capillary refill. Especially with VG in my experience.

Other options, add some distilled water to your juice to thin it a tad. A few drops in 2-3 ml should be enuff and wont effect flavor any.

The buildup is likely from flavoring in your juice. Its not from the vg itself. How do we know this. A vg juice with light to no coloration and with great flavor will have little/no buildup. A dark juice will buildup quickly and your wick and wire will require more cleaning to maintain efficiency. The above applies just the same to pg juices. Its the flavoring we use... not the bases. If its gunking up... then dry burning/cleaning is the way to go.
