I've been having trouble cleaning my 400 wicks for my mini did clone, so today I made a new one and made one out of the 325 ss mesh that came with the clone. I'm thinking the 400 I got from my lvs is a grade other than A because it already has a burnt taste! Now I'd heard that 400 was better for thinner juices, and 325 for thicker. The juice I use is 70/30 pg/vg. The 325 wasn't so hot the first few puffs, but now it's rocking! I normally use 32 kanthal wrapped 4/5 for 1.5 ohms, which is what I used for the 325. Just to see what would happen I used 28 kanthal for the 400, a 10/11 wrap
to get 1.5 ohms. It didn't have a burnt taste but there was little vapor or th, but good flavor. I said poo on this and threw a 32 coil on it. Vapor and th, but blech! Burnt! Idk! Only been doing this for a month so I have a lot to learn!
I guess my question is what's the difference between the 2 meshes, should I use the 325 for 70/30 juice, and does anyone else prefer 325 for thin juices? Also, do you think my 400 is low quality, I didn't think to ask lvs @ what grade it was cuz I didn't know there were different grades until today! Should the 325 be easier to clean because it's a looser mesh? Would twisting my 32 kanthal make for a better vape than wrapping a coil with the 28, and would I need a tedious 10/11 wrap with it?
