Hey ECF i recently got my AGA-T ordered and when i received it i was amazed at the build

so i quickly started to watch how to's on you tube and found out how to build the wicks and coils but a few issues...

Ok so i made my wick (may have used too much of the SS mesh size *400) rolled over a paperclip and then oxidized with a torch and water quench (5 times)

then added juice (70 pg / 30 VG) and burned off like 5 times

then wrapped my coils (5 wraps) cant remember the gauge i used for the life of me (had 3 different wires used them all up tinkering) ended up with 1.4 - 1.8 ohms
also i oxidized my wire

filled the tank and tried vaping....

now the problem is when the cap is off and i blow on the wick while burning i get massive amounts of vapor but when i put the cap on and try to vape it its very harsh throat hit and like no vapor production but the flavor of the juice is very strong.

what can i do to tone down the throat hit/harshness and get more vapor production out of this tank?

once i get more wire i was thinking about trying the wrapping paper around the wick at the coil

this is the only failing of the T with the threaded cap not lining up the vent on the wick.
throat hit and vapor production in a Geni is determined by the vent hole on the side of the cap in reference to the wick, dead on the wick massive vapor, turned off the wick and vapor decreases and Th inchreases.
the cap will be a little loose but turn it so the hole is right on the wick and try again.

it definitely makes a difference but still not like i expected.... i was still looking for more vapor production.. may fill the old hole with some JB weld and re drill the hole right over the wick, thanks for the fast response.

also when twisted opposite of the wick it looks like it creates less vapor.

A larger hole also helps...admittedly I like a tighter draw...but I needed to rout that hole out a little larger still...also you might want to empty the juice from the tank and check for hot spots, because unless all the coils glow its not going to perform well.

RBA = Rebuildable atomizer (True it is an advanced tank/atomizer but these are newb Q's for it)

TH = Throat hit

The T = AGA T (genesis RBA)

PG/VG polypropylene glycol / Vegetable Glycerine (E-Juice)

any i missed?

The genesis style atomizer has a wick and the air hole is directly in front of the wick on the top cap of the tank instead of drawing air from the battery connection hence all the talk about adjusting the air hole... they are truly an interesting tank / atomizer and i like the overall build of it but it is much more confusing to build and use than a standard carto tank or cartridge style

Okay, i missed that step, when the tank is full there was a hot spot near the top of the coil (i think i got it squared away now, but i never got a glow from the coil when firing it at all.... ill drain it and recheck when i leave work but just kinda vaping it as is for now...

Also anyone know a good source for wire that would be like a local shop (home depot / lowes) that i could go get some from time to time or will i have to find an online vendor... also what gauge wire should i be using with a mesh wick?

Also where can i get mesh (instead of ordering online)?

You are making wicks at work? Pretend you are sick and go home! (stick your finger down your throat) What are you running this on?(don't go home. I just saw your Location is Lost wages)

Sorry just saw your second question in the post

Im running it on my LT V2 and now it seems to be vaping really well, vapor production isnt grand but it seems to be getting better, the flavor is good and the TH is down now that i moved the air hole directly over the wick.

Got one today and I find it easier to rebuild than the vivi. The flavor is unbelievable and I'm gonna start mixing my juice at 50/50. If your not a DIY mixer give greenman ejuice a shot they make great blends and mix it nice for ya. Anyway, first day on the aga-t I give it a huge thumbs up on ease of rebuild and performance. My air-hole lines up absolutely perfect and just the sturdiness of this stainless steel is great, I mean this baby is solid and heavy. Very well built and designed.
