Received mine today! Two kits and a bunch of spare parts...

I'm gonna have to wait until there are some instructions on how to assemble these things, cuz there are a ton of small parts, and I have no idea where to begin. :D

One thing worth mentioning, if you purchased the 701 adapter from Jonah, it just barely fits.. the threads are really loose.. it only tightens up at the very bottom of the threading.

Fit and finish of the parts is ok, a little rough around the edges, so to speak (threads are a bit rough, polishing could be better, etc). Overall, looks like a good kit and I'm looking forward to getting it set up and working.

Big thanks to Uwe for getting this to me! I must admit... I had my doubts.... lol. ;)

You think if we take some steel wool to the threads that might help smooth them out some?

Nah, steel wool wouldn't work... there are bits of steel left on the threads that would require either some precision tooling with a dremel, or re-done on a lathe.

Honestly, probably better to just leave it be... everything still screws together well, just doesn't look pretty.

+1 on that. If the threads are not smooth...the best thing would be to just keep them lubricated. Simple and little hassle....

I use some very fine precision diamond files to smooth threads out. It works perfectly even on very fine threads without causing damage as long as you take it easy (diamond coated files go through SS very easily so you don't want to put too much pressure on them). :)

This might help if you want to start to assemble. Try to do a youtube video if you can :D

We are Germans. :) We assemble and use them. No videos, no long threads, just nice vaping.

The original post of the Genisis LV is this one: Genisis LV

I have made one batch out of stainless steel than. Because there was no time for construction I used the measurements of Ichbines Genisis LV. We made a second batch of this ones.
In the meantime I changed the design to thinner walls, a thread pitch of 0,5 and a stainless steel insert.
The assembling instruction in German you find here: Assembling Instruction
There will be an assembling instruction and a manual in English when we deliver.

Uwe

This batch is the last one in a project.

The tube is Teflon - PTFE. We changed that because many of the users broke the ceramic tube. I didn't thought that the post offices are so fast. :)

I am still in the translation of the manual. Will be ready tomorrow evening.
The German one is here: http://board-projekte.de/download/montageanleitung-genisis-lv-IV.pdf
The draft of th first part of the English one is here: http://board-projekte.de/download/assembly-genisis-lv-IV.pdf
