How do you make genisis atties wick faster? I'm using 400 mesh and 50-50 juice...

i personally like 500 mesh solid rolled super tight. about 40mm rolled into about 2-2.5mm. never have any wicking problems. if i tilt 90 degrees or more, i overwick.

I use 3/32 ss rope with 3mm hollow ekowool sleeve. Dont really have to tilt at all. Works amazing in my kraken.

I'm running it in a kraken also. The 400 is rolled really tight

Did you try leaving the fill hole or some other deck hole open? If there's no air entering the tank, liquids will get stuck in there. Or your wick may be too tight in the wick hole.

Just brainstorming. This may or may not be of help

I've never heard of a ss mesh wick being to tight for wicking. Maybe if if was actually reducing the actual size of the wick though

I finally upgraded
from the vv-mini-usb-passthrough
to my own modded VW vamo5s control head on a radio shack universal dc adapter set at 7.5 volts.

I decreased the mesh it still wicks slow and I get a metallic taste... Any ideas?

make sure you oxidized the wick and coil properly! ss mesh wick is very unstable but awesome flavour when you get it right, good luck.

may work but would have to install new cotton after every dry burn.

I"m playing around with an RSST Genesis clone in my spare time (not much of that lately). I started with a #350 SS mesh and fiddled with that for a while, juicing it up and burning with a micro torch to create and ash coat to prevent the metallic taste and shorts.

I finally made a new SS wick in a tube style with a center hole large enough to insert a 2mm silica rope. That seems to work much better, but after a few hits the metallic taste is detectable again. Wicking seems to be the main issue (outside of getting rid of the metallic taste).

I always leave some 2-3mm pigtails of the kanthal for micro adjustment, fill only half of the tank incase that the coil is not oxidized and gives me metallic taste, I tilt the liquids off the wick then do pulsing oxidizing.
