ok so i got genny and had trouble setting it up got it working now but how do i get clouds of dense vapour i was looking for.I have no hot spots 1.0 ohm coil and it does not seem to be producing the vapour or flavour i was after i am running this on an mpv2 so i think my build is fine will it get better as i use it at moment my pts are hitting better with more flavour.I used the drill bit method to set up with one coil not two which it can do but on the mpv2 the ohms would be to low and it would not fire as i write this i am hitting it and it has improved a bit but the vapour production is not that great although the flavour is coming out now

hello thanks for trying to help i have a steam turbine clone i am using stainless steel mesh no sure what it came with it my kanthal is 0.30mm sorry i am in the uk i think it is 29awg so it quite thick and easy to work with the wire that came with it is very thin i would say at a guess 32-34awg so could not use the drill bit method with that as it just collapses when i try to pull the bit out.I have oxidised my wick by heating it up 5 times red hot and quenching in cold water i then covered it in juice and set fire to it let i cool down this time. The coil is at 1.0 ohm with 4-5 wrap 2013-12-23 09.32.51.jpg2013-12-23 09.35.02.jpg as you can see by the pictures the coil is neat and tidy i have no hot spots it fire from the centre out this morning i have been hitting it and its got better but the vapour production is not huge the taste is there. The wicks were made by rolling the mesh round a paper clip first then making it smaller by rolling it more and more between my fingers i folded about 1.5mm of the wick on outside edge to avoid fraying so no bad edges i have managed to get the bad taste away and cure the hot spots by using the drill bit method just the vapour production is not as good as pro tank with cotton and a micro coil at 1.5ohm

funny part is once you do "get it" it is easy as hell lol. takes all of 5 minutes now to set up my geni's. If i had that model it would be easier to direct you to what might work but everyone of them is different with their own little quirks and things like wickhole sizes and screw placements, what kind of mesh, how you wrapped the wire etc. etc.

i do know all that quenching and juice burning nonsense is old school and forgotten about. all you need to do is torch the mesh till its a nice greyish coating then wrap the coil and slowly pulse out the hotspots till glowing even then go.

Yes, it becomes so second nature after a while that you'll think to yourself: "Why did I have so much trouble with this when I started?"
I don't even torch mesh anymore. I just roll it up, pulse the coil until it glows evenly, fill, and vape.

Are you still using the stock size air holes? What size are they? I had to drill out both my igo-l and aga t2 top caps to 1/16th inch, because I like the airier draw and it also increased vapor production.

It depends on the device. I don't have any AGA-Ts anymore, but I used to drill them to 1.2mm. Same with the igo-l
